Man On Fire is extreme sharp through out though, same as in it's screenshots. It's grainy but it goes well with the film. Out of the movies I have, I haven't seen any in which the screenshots posted in the site have been inaccurate with what I end up seeing on the movie. For me at least. |

I think you raise a good point though. I plan to go home and hook my laptop up to my 1080p projector and view the screen-caps there as well to see if it looks much different than what I see on my two LCD monitors (one at work and one at home). |

The cap is the frame. How it appears to you depends on what display you're viewing it on, whether that display be a laptop screen or your LCD TV. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the cap. |

I'm hoping that when I finally get it, the quality of the story will be enough to forget about the inexcusable transfer. If there is no reissue, I will just dump it when the EE's are released in a couple of years.

I'm still looking forward to the release on the 6th.
In regards to all of the negative posts....I just don't understand the investment of time complaining about a movie that you haven't even watched yet on your H.T. system. Simply ridiculous!! Move on to something else to ***** about. |

Also, you can't even confirm that Brodo in fact has these in hand..... although I suspect he does ![]() Quote:

Yep. Although the EE has DTS ES which can have a discrete rear center or a matrixed one. I have the EE and it shows up as DTS on my receiver with the rear center icon lit up along with the other 5.1 channels. So I'm not sure if that means there is a discrete extra channel in the EE?

I did had a though about if Criterion would do the Extended Edition remasters, but I had a though, would it really be better? I mean if Jackson supervised this transfer, would criterion's and Jackson's support make it better?
