The orc one was so lame that it was great
It might not have been so bad if it wouldn't have been his last line in the movie, but could you imagine Tolkien seeing that?

How else would you say it? Stuck in a cave, surrounded by tons of goblins and only 9 of you you have to keep laughing about it

Love that line by Boromir/Bean.
Right around this moment all the way to where Gandalf falls is still one of my favorite audio sequences Looking forward to hearing it in lossless!

I thought Sara Jessica Parker as Gollum was my favorite character. She really nailed it.

I would have to say my favorite part of all 3 movies was in TTT, when the riders of Rohan came and saved Théodens butt with Gandalf leading the way down the hill. Great sound, great soundtrack

i know ill never preorder anything again from amazon if they dont make it right

Just got done watching FOTR on my projector and did some sampling on my 52" Samsung.

1. The verticle lines are clearly visable on the projector but not on the TV.
The TV must overscan enough to mask the line.
So, I suspect those with TV's won't notice this defect.

2. The PQ is a mixed bag of great and WTF.
At times, it felt like I was watching an upconverted DVD and in some scenes, it was like WOW!, awesome.

The overblown colors of the yellow flowers during the first part of the movie was over the top and blinding.
Were they trying to get the "Speed Racer" look?

This has me believe that this movie was auto-mastered with no attendant/technician monitoring the PQ. Warner really dropped the ball on this release as far as a consistent PQ throughout the movie.

AQ was great throughout.

Are you saying you pre-ordered at $59.99, and now they want to charge you $63.99? That's ridiculous if so.

Or are you saying you waited on the price, it's gone up, and now you want it for less?

Do the lines run the entire vertical length of the picture, or just part of it? Sorry, I must have missed this the other times this was brought up.
