I agree with you though. They may detail general plans re: the EEs, but it doesn't necessarily mean WB/NL have changed their minds and are going to release the EEs anytime soon. I would expect it will be "we are working on the EEs with Peter Jackson and those will follow at a later date. For now, you can buy the theatrical editions if you cannot wait that long." That will be the gist of it. I personally am just going to wait for the EEs... |

No it doesn't. But voting with your wallet does. People, just stop complaining and don't buy them. The studio has already gotten the message by now that many people are pissed about the double dip. If you're going to buy the theatrical versions anyway (and I know many of you will), your complaining is for nothing.

That's silly. If you don't want the theatrical release, then don't buy it.
I wanted the EE (and still do). But the theatrical version was available for a steal, so I ordered them and will buy the EE when it becomes available. Yes, having both in 1 product would be nice (with seamless branching), but I cannot fault WB for releasing them separately and trying to maximise profits.... |

We have received final specs for Warner's 3 November Blu-ray Disc release of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The good news is that the films will arrive with 1080p transfers and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound mixes |

Holy ****ing crap DTS HD 7.1 that is the 1st for warner i got a feeling this is gonna be in the league of one of the best transfers now
![]() ![]() http://www.dvdfile.com/news/article/...erbeasto-79755 """"the bad news is that the goodies here are holdovers: We'll get a set of lotr.net web featurettes, and eight featurettes (ones that were included on earlier DVD releases of the films), as well as a set of trailers and TV spots. SRP remains $99.98""" That statement is just beyond stupid I don't get why this is bad news i never expected new features. How the hell can you expect new features after the release of the EE sets Last edited by mredman; 06-26-2009 at 07:47 PM. |
