Encouraging news on processing:

"Panasonic has had the 65CZ950’s colours tuned by renowned Hollywood colourist Mike Sowa.

Sowa, whose movie credits include Oblivion and Insurgent, says of his involvement with the 65CZ950: “Panasonic is proving their commitment to excellence by engineering their newest 4K Pro TV to satisfy my professional standard of zero compromise. My world of visual storytelling is based around colour accuracy and the need for a display that compliments the creative vision. Panasonic has engineered their newest 4K Pro OLED TV to a standard that I would only expect in professional displays.”

Nice, but probably much more expensive than the LG's.

Great to see Panasonic still in the game!

But I didn't see any mention of 3D...

Will the set be able to show a movie in 3D?

With 4K you would think 3D would even better enhanced.

"The Panasonic TX-65CZ950 4K OLED TV is set for release this October and will cost, wait for it, around 10,000 euro (£7350)." ($11,200 at current exchange rate)

Sure is, more companies means more competition, more competition will drive down the prices and the quicker those sets will be in our living rooms. OLED is the future!!

Seems like such a long time since there was a TV even worth considering. The price is out of this world though, I will have to wait until the tech is much more affordable and more importantly perfected.

Robert:
The technology is amazing and its only going to get better with more manufacturers entering into the technology. Flat OLEDs are already being sold.

Robert, once upon a time in a land far, far away, when I was young, dumb (they had LOUSY carburetors) and full of c*me, I raced a CZ….http://www.onanysundayfilm.com/

Now, I’m old, less dumb (I think, but you'd better check first with PeterTHX) and well….let’s just say thee prostate and seminal vesicles aint what they used to be…..so, instead of riding a 400cc two-wheeled rocket ship, I now settle for servicing Ray’s requests and posting a YouTube video in which ‘Hollywood’ is mentioned a record number of times in the first minute as a prelude to another CZ…………
