I just called Foxconnect on the phone, and my order is in the system and fine. The Martian and Scorch Trials show 3/1 in their system...

I don't. But I did just order one for this player. That remote isn't going to cut it.

Looked again and didn't see any specific settings for hdr and rec 2020/709.

The latest firmware I have installed is 1002.

Im guessing you are gonna have to take 2020 and HDR if you have a capable display. Probably something Oppo will offer options for, but Ill take what I can get right now.

Someone with a beta version last week said the hdr and WCG gamut options were in the setup menus. Bummer if they're gone. Maybe they show up when an hdr disc is inserted. I can check tonight after work.

Yeah, I know at times you had to have a disc in and be in the movie before some players would let you change things.

Interesting, please do share your findings later when you can.

Posted a quick pic of the in-movie hud and option settings a few pages back while checking out the BD for Christine - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...&postcount=972

Am also thinking perhaps they only appear when a compatible tv is connected? I have it connected to the sony 55x810c which does not have any hdr or wcg capabilities from what I can tell.

I want Bourne stuck on Mars pretty badly. Will check my local shop to see if they have any in stock.

Default Just called Foxconnect and cancelled my order with them.

I placed an order for one movie "The Martian" on January 15th. When I spoke with her, it was still showing preorder status. I told her Best buy would have movies in stock by this weekend.

She basically said with an influx of preorders coming in they could only process them as they came in; in other words mass orders wasn't possible for them? I'm not sure what was going on there. In any case, while the deal was good, I prefer to get the movie this weekend instead of waiting who knows how long before Fox Connect sends them.

I also stopped by one best buy and called another one in Minnesota where I live, and they didn't have any movies yet. However, he told me their truck comes Fridays and Tuesdays so I'm banking on them receiving titles tomorrow and putting them on the shelves as soon as they get them into the store. I'll just have to call them starting tomorrow through Sunday until I can snag the movie. In the meantime, onward to setting up the player and doing what I can until the 4k movies this weekend.

Sadly, my closest store didn't have them. I live in MN and it sounded like the guy said Wisconsin was the nearest that had stores with stock so good news, hopefully, is that the trucks will make their way here and bring stock.

I noticed that some of the UHD BDs had the Premium sticker on their cases, wasn't this designed for 4K and up releases with no upconverted content? Annoyingly the Scorch Trials' (which I think has some upscaled content?) and The Martian's covers aren't fully featured, but they both feature upscaled material, so in theory (unless I've got my wires crossed) they shouldn't have Premium status.

Yes guys, the movies are now able to be purchased from Best Buy. Stores should have gotten Exodus, Hitman, Kingsman, The Martian, Scorch Trials, and Wild. Fantastic 4 also came in but wouldn't ring out yet right before I left. Maze Runner, X-Men, and Life of Pi could come tomorrow but supposedly have a manufacturing delay.

When the UPS guy came I was opening every box from Fox looking for them and of course the last box was the winner. Our system for receiving stuff was down all morning so I couldn't get them in the system yet but I did go to see if they would ring out. I asked them on Tuesday to make sure they would but of course none of them could be sold yet. I notified the movie team over at corporate and they did get them all fixed (except for Fant4stic) a bit after noon.

Tyrok, My store doesn't have them yet (I'm in the twin cities) but he did tell me they get trucks on Fridays and Tuesdays so I'm betting its' tomorrow that the shipment will come in. I'll check then but I'm glad to know I'll hit pay dirt by this Sunday evening at the latest...

I'm calling all the Miami Best Buys right now.

But, you know, geographically, we'd be at the tail end of any sort of delivery, so my expectations aren't high to actually see a disc in store .

I hope for Sunday, too.

Is there any confirmation that it is upscaled? or is this just theory based on the theatrical presentation?

That it has the logo on and mentions HDR I can only assume that its is HDR and Ultra HD.

I think the biggest reason for it to have a 2K release in cinemas is so that it looks like the consumer is getting a better deal to watch movies at home on Ultra HD than it is in cinemas, que 8K cinema screens.
