I think when I'm watching 4k movies I will set the colour space to auto and I think you use native when you play video games

I have noticed that this 4K UHD player has come down in price but from what i have read online its been getting mixed review/ratings overall some really like it and others not so much and stated ended up having problems with it too.

No issues here. No plans to upgrade anyt ime soon either. Oppo 203 does not even sound that appealing to be honest.
Price/quality ratio on ths player is unmatched.

Coldnt care less about dolby vision right now. When we'll have hundreds and hundreds of titles available in DV, then maybe I might be interested in upgrading

Nothing wrong with my player either haven't had any problems with it since I've had it and it's good value and it does the job

What's the lowest price this player has been lately? Right now it's going for $299 at Best Buy. I need to get a TV first, them maybe a player.

The cheapest right now that i could find off hand was at Walmart for $247.36 not sure if i have seen it cheaper maybe around Black Friday at almost $200 or something like that i still have to get the TV and than the player hopefully soon enough.

My thinking on DV is that when it does start coming out they will be good titles that people want to own like Disney stuff, not just new titles that suck and older one's the studios want to release. There are some nice titles finally coming out this year tho, but so far I've only bought half dozen UHD's

But this process is always slow and it will take a good two years before we have a wide variety of DV titles available.
Why buying an expensive DV player now when we will be using it basically for regular blurays for the next 2 years?

I would guess the files are less than 4k resolution. There will either be a setting on the TV to view the files to fit the screen or it may not even be possible with the TV. i think u misunderstood... when i play with the 4 k player or ,my other player the files are full screen. when I use the tv it has bars.... I want the the files to be with the bars but it isnt any option to change

I agree I meant if I was in the market for a player, if it's $299 retail now I think I would pay extra for the Oppo

i think Samsung should offer a firmware update to make HDR available through streaming services...I dont understand why we dont have that option yet when this player can map HDR no problem
