1010 is the lasted FW update. Worth updating to 1010 if you want to get HDR on Netflix.
Been watching Netflix HDR programs and it's just glorious!

The question still remains. Why have they pulled it from the player and left it on the website only?

I just dowloaded it from the site and put it into USB stick, then updated firmware with it. Very easy process.
I might still have the zip file in my computer if you need it.

Thanks but I don't have a USB stick. Easy enough to remedy tho. Pm me if you're willing to email.

I currently use the app on the tv for Netflix. Does that already support uhd? It's a Samsung I bought last year.

Wait, there's a firmware update that allows HDR with Netflix, but you can only get it from Samsung's website?

There was, for a short period of time. But now Samsung has taken it down and went back to post the previous FW update (1009). So those who were quick enough and downloaded the file for FW 1010 when it was available now get Netflix in HDR...For everyone else, well....

I am not familiar with your Samsung TV, but if supports HDR then you should be able to stream Netflix HDR through the TV built-in Netflix app, sure

4k Netflix hdr through my Samsung KS8000 looks like shit compared to 4k Netflix through this blu player , without hdr, but with HDR+ enabled on th tv. This is why I want to see how this update does.
