No, you're not alone, I also find the Samsung upscaling better than that on my Philips 4K TV set.

Of course it's subjective, but I would rather let the TV do the upscaling |

With active 3D you have more leeway with viewing angles. With passive 3D you need to be perfectly positioned or you can experience crosstalk. But passive 3D is more comfortable and less strenous on the eyes

I agree there my eyes will water sometimes watching 3D, for me 3D is an occasional thing but I do like it

I can watch passive 3D for hours without eye strain. The other advantage is that passive 3D doesn't render such a dim/dark image, so everything remains bright and clear

Yes your right my 3D is a little darker image, altho Jurassic World and Avatar have nice clean picture. I also only watch 3D at night when my room is dark, that helps as well.

My Sony is active 3D so I know what you are talking about. With my Oled I can go longer watching 3D because the picture is plenty bright and the glasses are gentle on my eyes. With the Sony I always watch 3D for no more than 30-45 minutes at a time

My new Oled is my first passive 3D. I've owned 3 previous active 3d TVs. And I always assumed passive was worse but man was I impressed with the passive 3D on this TV. It actually looked like the menu was protruding past my soundbar! |
