Just wanted to share my experience. Last week Groupon had refurbished units and I grabbed one. Used a first time customer coupon along with Ebates and I got it for $173 net. When it arrived it was like new. Initial issue was with video and audio dropouts but after I turned off HDMI control and Anynet and updated the firmware, all went well. Programmed my Harmony 900 and the IR blaster and no longer have to use the Sammy remote. Paired it up with my Yamaha Rx-A2060 and this thing rocks! Can't imagine what someone is going to get by spending $400 more on a Panasonic or Oppo.

Well aside from what's been mentioned already I would say no info screen and no native setting for resolution.
Of course no DV support but that's not really a knock against it, but considering we payed $400(early adopters) the Oppo at $500 is looking like a much better deal. I've been happy with the player tho it's played every disc without issue |

With Denon the only difference is that you lose the picture temporarily and it gets replaced with the menu main page, where you can check out the general info (audio and video)

I use the info screen on the TV but something like the Phillips info screen would be nice, I have not even tried thru the receiver honestly.

Yeah I'm nitpicking anyway
I think I got the audio sync issue resolved, I zero'd out the adjustment thru the player and made the adj at the receiver. It's quicker and easier thru the receiver too with no pop up box to block the screen, after 2 or 3 movies I haven't had to change it so hopefully it stays consistent between discs Watching The Frighteners tonight ![]() |

I thought I'd ask one more time before I purchase another copy. Has anyone successfully played the Magnificent Seven disc? I get a " disc doesn't meet specifications" message and it spits it out every time (but not before loading the Mag 7 screensaver.) I've contacted both Samsung and Fox, neither have had the issue reported by anyone else. Its the only disc that mine won't play (so far), but it plays on other players. I have latest firmware.
