Thanks for your insider information because I didn't get any email about that as a Costco member. It is $189.99 at Costco starting today.

I have a question for anyone who has this (or the Phillips) UHD player and it's connected to a receiver that supports ATMOS/DTS:X that is connected to a 1080p tv or projector.
I know you will only get 1080p, which is fine, if your using the single hdmi connection (sending both audio & video to the receiver) do you get ATMOS/DTS:X from UHD discs that support it or because you have a 1080p tv do you only get the lossless cores of Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD-MA @ 7.1? I want to get the ATMOS/DTS:X audio from UHD discs and I don't currently have a 4K set so I know i'll get 1080p, I'm looking for confirmation that I WILL get the object based audio if I use a single hdmi to the receiver. or will I have to go the 2 hdmi outs to ensure I get ATMOS/DTS:X with the audio only video only dual hdmi use? I'm asking for actual users with this kind of setup who can confirm, not from people who have read or heard, please. thanks in advance to everyone who responds. ![]() ![]() |

I know that for a fact because I own a Sony VPL 45, and I can see a huge difference in PQ between the UHD disc downscaled to 1080 and the regular 1080 disc. But the sound is the same: Atmos at its best ![]() |

my reasons are asking, I know this is a Samsung thread, but, I'm looking to get the Philips UHD player from BB since it's their BF sale priced for under $180 and it's for my bedroom so, it's gonna be fine there. i'll wait for oppo for the HT player.
![]() sorry Samsung thread, not trying to take you over. ![]() |

Single HDMi connection, everything through your Denon. Still get Atmos, as long as Samsung player is set on 'bitsream unprocessed'...but PQ is very poor. If you dont believe me, compare for yourself

I've had mine since it came out. Never had an issue with it. Not the prettiest piece of equipment but I have mine inside my Salamander cabinet so I never see it. For the price I'd say go for it. It's been a great machine for me.

I just got my replacement remote. MUCH better than that little toy. Now, I can use it to teach my universal remote. $7 well spent even if it looks like a knock off of the official Samsung remote.

Will the replacement remote work other components besides TV? I tried to program it to control my Pioneer receiver but no luck
