Yeah, this players streaming is crap, almost not useable. I stuck with the ROKU to for that, it's great.

I have the ROKU 4, which didn't have the HDR yet. The Ultra has the HDR, but I didn't double dip for that. I mostly watch VUDU, which doesn't support HDR yet anyway.
But from a pure user experience and options with 4K watching, the ROKU 4 is fantastic in my experience. |

What exactly is not so good about the Sammy's interface? It looks as good as any other streaming device interface that I've seen

But other than that apps run smooth...no buffering or any other issues that I've noticed

I consistently get lip sync issues on Netflix which pisses me off. I don't feel I should always have to close the app to get to the audio menu to adjust. And it's ALWAYS changing.

Never had that problem. Have you tried to simply fastforward or rewind some to reset audio sync?

I am experiencing occasional lip sync issues with disc playback and also experiencing occasional stutter and blockyness/ghosting around the outline of fast moving objects. This is with disc playback. Haven't noticed it with streaming yet. It's almost as if the player doesn't have enough CPU power to keep up with the video codecs. I am really starting to regret this purchase though admittedly there aren't that many true 4K players.

The DVD conversion setting should be OFF and the 24fps setting should be Auto I believe, have not checked my settings in awhile tho
I get audio sync issues playing discs, I use player>receiver>tv connection method. I have the Auto Delay setting ON for the receiver but still have to make adj's on some movies, it's annoying. I never have any audio sync issues on the Directv input tho?? |

Also, before I got the receiver I used a diff connection method one cable to TV and one to a soundbar and never had audio sync issues so I attribute it to the connection method.
Maybe I should try this method with the receiver but everyone says use the direct connection method |
