It does not happen on mine. The only issue I have is that sometimes my Denon/Oled TV do not pick up its signal so I have to input out of it and input back in to re-gain the signal

I'm sure this may have been mentioned before in this thread but has anyone experienced any issues when pausing the film you are watching and then resuming it, only to have it pause on you every second?
If so, how have you guys resolved this issue? |

Are you using a Harmony or non standard remote? I haven't personally experienced the issue using either the Samsung remote or my Onkyo receiver remote.

I've been using the standard remote that was issued with the UBD-K8500 player. I honestly don't think the remote is the issue because I can play blu-ray's just fine without the issue. Just 4K films I am having the issue.

I don't think you'll get DD+ from Netflix either; that requires HDMI.

No Amazon Prime Video app on Canadian K8500? We've had Amazon Prime Video in Canada since last year and I was hoping to actually be able to stream Amazon 4K video on my 4K TV rather than a tablet, PC, or phone. Isn't the app available on some Canadian Samsung TVs?

So this has been marked down to $229.99 at Best Buy, and I have a 10% off coupon + $35 in My Best Buy Rewards certificates, which would bring this to ~$185 after taxes. Not sure if I should get this player (I do have a 55 inch KS8000) or that new Sony one.
Thoughts? |

For one thing, the LG will have Dolby Vision support. The industry is trying to pin Sony down on DV player support via a firmware update as well (and like the Oppo 203, their two players are universal). Their 2017 displays support DV, so... |

I agree, I would go with Sony, or Oppo if DV is important to you.
How does DV picture at the Cinema differ from HDR picture, eye test wise?? We don't have one close |

I wouldn't worry about it. I think 1010 was actually 1010.1 so I don't think you'll be able to do it anyway. The 1010 added a few weeks back has a December modification date so they keep pulling and re-adding the same exact file
