Still hoping someone has an answer to this.
I'm getting a/v sync issues through any media server. My Onkyo 605 only allows me to set a delay up to 100ms, and it's not enough. I need about 120ms-130ms. Changing the audio delay on the Samsung's settings has absolutely no effect at all. Everything else is synced fine. Blu-rays, UHD discs, netflix, youtube, etc. It's ONLY media server files. I have a wired fiber connection. |

Hey guys,
Trying to decide between the Sony x800 and this player. I am ready to jump into 4K HDR but I still watch and own a lot of 3D discs. I wanted the sony but I've been unable to find it and the Samsung is always there at best buy. I am currently using the Samsung 65 inch JU7500. I don't have an Atmos/Dts-X reciever yet but would like this player to work for that set up in the future. Anyone have any suggestions? Is there a big benefit to waiting to find the Sony player or should I just go with the Samsung. I also looked at the Xbox one S, but I need 2 hdmi outputs for my set up. |

Ok thanks! They seem to think the Sony is the best player at this price!

I bought today a 50'' Quantum Dot Display Samsung T.V. set with HDR, I know it's not a top of the line set, it only gets to 600 nits but as I ALWAYS watch T.V. on a fully dark room I must say picture quality coupled with the Samsung UBD K8500 which I've had for a year but connected to a 40'' SDR 4K Philips set.
I've always liked this Samsung player, non of the issues experienced by othe forum members, but now I have coupled it with an HDR set I like it even more. |

I tried to upload some Dolby Atmos demos on USB but the player will only play video with no audio. When I try to play the same demo from the same USB stick on my Sony BD6500 it plays both video and audio in all of its magnificent Dolby Atmos sound

Did you try changing the Digital Output to PCM? It may not be the ideal setting, but I had to do that with some other USB content I tried to watch. Might be worth a try just to see if the sound then comes through.

My Sony DB6500 player is also set to 'bitstream' and Atmos the the demo on USB played and sounded just fine. Maybe this Samsung does not support this media format? The video itself plays fine, but there is no audio at all |
