I'm getting antsy seeing all you guys with your players

I'm looking at getting the Panasonic DX900 but really should wait for a review first, but it has a lot of people excited. Just need a date on the Samy player then I can pull the trigger

So another member is saying they talked to mgo, and mgo acknowledged that the k8500 has the wrong app and will be sending out a new version. Don't know when.

I sent Vudu a request to "enable" this player both through the website and on twitter.

Mine thinks I'm not actually going to buy a new TV and player. Apparently our current TV "works just fine"...

I maybe getting my wires crossed (hopefully someone can chime in?), but I've had a look around and all I can find is that the Content Masters must reach the 3840 x 2160 resolution, so if all they have to do is hit that resolution then they can be awarded Premium status? It seems like a totally pointless award, unless they're planning on making a load of 2K UHD BDs with higher than BD specs?

I'm probably not looking at it from the Alliance's viewpoint, perhaps they're using the Premium label to tell people the discs are in 4K and not just 1080p and they aren't concerned that movies will feature upsampled effects (as most of the theatrical 4K presentations do anyway). But to me at least slapping the Premium label on the first wave seems slightly disconcerting!

It's bad enough they've changed the UHD BD label to UHD BD 4K. Considering they're two separate resolutions and different aspect ratios.

Just bought mine at the S. Elgin, IL Best Buy. I had to order in store for a pickup. It will be in on Tuesday the 16th. Hopefully the discs go on sale Sunday!

At last just got it on pre-order in the u.k. and the good thing is if its a daft price I can stop the order as there is no down payment for it just stop the order if its to much.
