3 times a charm for me. I have been to a couple of Best Buy stores each of the last 3 nights. This store wasn't busy and they took they time to find them in the back. They also confirmed that the street date had been set to 2/11 in their POS system, so there isn't really any reason why they can't sell them. I had received my UBD-K8500 on Tuesday, so this felt like a long wait. I do have a TV that is capable of HDR or at least by last year's standards so I am looking forward to checking out the discs. I picked up The Martian and Kingsman.

Silly noob question here...
I see a few people already have some 4K Blu titles and some are available 2/14 at Best Buy...my question is, how do I watch them? The Samsung UBD-K8500 4K player (according to Amazon) doesn't have a release date yet. Are there other 4K players already available? |

I have a 2160P file with the Quantization test that has 8 bit and 10 bit. With 8 bit you can see graduations because it can't show all the shades. But with 10 bit it is nice and smooth. Which is supposed to be a good test to show how well a TV does with 10 bit.

Exodus looks awesome but it's annoying that letterbox takes up 1/4 of screen size. Will any uhd movies be full screen? Might be excited for the oppo that will zoom out letterbox

Just go into Settings and change the picture mode from 16:9 Original to 16:9 Full and that should zoom you in.

I'm not sure if the BD Wise feature has changed much, but it basically takes the raw data from the disc and processes it the TV's end and not the player's. It was originally designed to make DVDs upscale better (If I remembering the same thing), but was updated for Blu-rays.
