Has anyone else had an issue with getting signal dropouts? I have the xbr65x850c and ever since I updated my player a couple days ago, first-time discs will go to the greenish "no signal detected" screen upon hitting play for the film itself. If I stop the disc and start it again, it'll only then appear so long as I choose "resume film". For the record, this has been happening with Fox discs so far, specifically Martian and X-Men.

I tweaked a bit last night by turning the RGB enhaced feature on (what a difference!) and setting the player's picture to dynamic. Normally I've never liked very bright or vivid pictures but the Dynamic setting really doesn't seem to overdo it. Color appears more in tune and the RGB really helped with some contrasting issues I was initially having. The Martian looks even more spectacular now and some of the other blus I popped in looked fantastic.

Yes, I have it! I was having a slight problem with Kingsman when I first put it in, the picture was kind of cloudy and washed out but when I switched to RGB Enhanced and Dynamic Picture Mode, the picture changed dramatically. It was absolutely spectacular! I also have had a similar problem with the signal dropout and no signal message on the green screen but only occasionally. At the end, I'm extremely happy with this machine!!

Hey all, I got the player a couple days ago and we have a Vizio D55u-d1 and have made no progress on getting to play Kingsman or Martian in 4k. When we start to play the discs, "no signal" pops up and you have to turn the tv off and on again to get the signal back. When it comes back, the discs are playing back in 1080p. We have it plugged into the HDCP 2.2 port with and HDMI 2.0 cable. My girlfriend and I are becoming increasingly frustrated with it. Can't come up with a solution. Our setup currently is player directly into TV until we can sort it out. Anything you guys can suggest?

You will, however, not get HDR. I'm sure you already know that. It may not even be a 10 bit panel or have close to P3 color space capabilities given its price point. Be prepared for some banding. |
