Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves goes blu on May 26th - Blu-ray Forum

Warner Home Entertainment has officially announced a street date for Kevin Costner's Robin Hood, for an expected due date of May 26, 2009. It appears it'll be the Extended Version found on the previous Special Edition DVD.

Ill keep it more updated once more news become available.

In the meantime, enjoy!

The special edition DVD isn't very good picture wise,so i hope they clean it up right.

Hopefully with lossless sound. You can never tell with a Warner release.

i do kind of wish warner would include both theatrical and extended editions. some of the scenes in the extended weren't great and its not like you can choose to watch the movie without them (without fast forwarding)

Classic alert! I always wondered when this title would be released. Yay, its one of my favs. Pls Warner do not f@ck this title up in any way.

I have had some serious moments to the soundtrack of this film

Yes I was truly disapointed by that release, let's pray they do a good job with this one

hoping as well-- double dipped on dvd from the bare bones original release to
the special edition-- both had a mediocre picture at best!

I'll be reading at least 2 reviews before I buy this one...

Woot. Super guilty pleasure. But Alan Rickman is too great in this film.

This is one I would definitely pick up if the BD quality is solid. Post Man and Waterworld would also depend on the BD quality, those are the B movies of my youth (kind of like Doomsday is today). Robin Hood makes the A movie cut though, that was a solid one.
