I have a few pre-orders mostly from Germany and the UK so I'm expecting some delays from overseas. Don't know how this will affect Severin, Vinegar Syndrome and other companies here in the US when it comes to production of discs.

MGM Resorts in Las Vegas will temporarily suspend operations in Las Vegas on Tuesday, casinos closed Monday.

Wynn Resorts will close for two weeks starting Tuesday.

And here we go...
Think it's time to finally go all in and cancel/reschedule my Las Vegas birthday trip that's a week away from today, then. I was going to the Paris and I have a feeling they might close too along with the places I want to go (mainly shops and outlets and what have you). Between that and my state instituting bans on large gatherings, I'm not gonna be able to do anything really for my birthday. Happy birthday to me, I guess.

Didn't help that I got an email from Disney saying they're closing their retail stores (outlets included) as of March 17th onwards. It's the domino effect.

We aren't talking about for the day. This is in full effect until WHENEVER they decide it's safe to reopen. All restaurants now are take out only.

Paid sick leave: Who gets it during the coronavirus outbreak

Quote:
There’s growing consensus that Americans need to stay home to help prevent the spread of covid-19, especially if they feel sick or have a suspected or confirmed case of the coronavirus. The health of the nation comes first, experts say, but there’s broad concern that many workers might be forced to choose between staying home or getting paid if they feel under the weather or need to care for a sick relative.

On Saturday, the House passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act after negotiations with the White House. The bill, supported by President Trump and headed to the Senate, aims to provide money to most American workers stuck at home due to the coronavirus. If the bill is approved by the Senate and signed by Trump, it would grant two weeks of paid sick leave to most workers at 100 percent of the person’s normal salary. It would also provide up to 12 weeks of paid family leave at 67 percent of the person’s normal pay for most workers.

But there’s a catch: It doesn’t cover everyone. Small and midsize companies are required to provide these benefits. “Gig” workers and people who are self-employed also get them. But large companies with more than 500 employees are not mentioned in the bill. Experts say that’s a significant loophole. Still, 89 percent of workers at big companies have access to at least some paid sick leave, though the average of eight days falls well short of the 14-day quarantine prescribed for people who may have the coronavirus.

Those places need to shut down.. NJ closed all gyms, probably other states too.
I took a 10 am strength class yesterday. Later in the day, my trainer texted me that all classes are cancelled till further notice. The gym will remain open, but limit the number of those available to work out (first come, first serve). I'm going to stay on my 5am schedule during the weekdays, so I don't anticipate having "too many ppl at a time issue" at that hour.

I will say this am, there were about half the normal number of ppl working out between 5am and 6am for a Monday.

Ohio here.
All bars and restaurants are closed for the time being.
Take out and delivery is still allowed.
Schools are closed indefinitely.

My wife and most of her company are already working from home.
I will be hopefully in a week.

We have bought a lot of supplies but unsure of how much we will need for the foreseeable future.

Many of my friends have started to buy firearms.

They tell people to stay away from each other and they go and huddle together in a big crowd like that. Smart thinking.

People who recover from COVID-19 can still be left with substantially reduced lung functions, the Hong Kong Hospital Authority has found after observing the first wave of patients discharged after becoming infected by the novel coronavirus. The doctors made the observations after studying a group of 12 patients who had recovered, rather than as part of a wider-ranging study. They found a drop of 20% to 30% in lung capacity in two or three out of them.

"They gasp if they walk a bit more quickly," a top infectious diseases expert said, according to the South China Morning Post. He added, however, that patients could do cardiovascular exercises to improve their lungs.

While it's too early to establish long-term effects of the illness, scans of nine patients in the group suggested that recovered patients had sustained organ damage, the Post reported.

A lot of the grocery stores around here are starting to get hit pretty hard. No meat, toilet paper, water and other supplies too are vanishing from the shelves.

If people cant get food from the store where are they going to go next to get it?
