Had to get out to buy masks, and as far as I noticed, I was the ONLY one wearing a mask.

And not that it had anything to do with it, but I was almost run over by a sonofa***** who advanced the red light. What a great day.

I've been wondering this myself. Maybe they'll switch to pick-up only?

My whole company is now working from home. We will see how long this lasts. It looks like it could be for as much as 2+ months.

Macy's is also shutting down for a while.

I don't think people are running out to get new clothing or a mattress at Macy's or JCPenney, when they can't find the basics and toilet paper at the grocery store anyway.

I think its for the better (temporarily) but I feel bad for the employees.

Is that just Amazon UK, or all of them? It’s hard to tell from the article.

This only applies to Fulfilled by Amazon products not all the products in their warehouse.

Just a reminder, if anyone here is experiencing Coronavirus-type symptoms, do not take Ibuprofen. It's said to worsen symptoms. Tylenol is okay, and better to use anyway since it will reduce your fever.

Best Buy doesnt sell necessities like WalMart or Target... I could see BB temporarily closing, though every time I have been in there recently you could say its easy to keep a distance from people as they are not crowded ever.

Still laughing about the TP... between the couple packs I have and the bidet attachment for the toilet my family is good. Was at WM during lunch, paper products aisle still empty... if you are a plumber, be prepared to be unclogging a ton of systems where people have used paper towels to wipe with. I see Targets maybe operating (in closed state) longer to cleanse stores in between closing and opening, and for restocks. WM's already have ceased 24 hour ops at all locations, my nearby location had actually ceased 24 hour service before the pandemic

Just stuck on the UHD of American Psycho. Lionsgate finally knocked it out the park with this presentation.

I have been listening to the White House briefings (which are rather interesting and informative, regardless of any political leanings one might bring into it), and Trump apparently met with the major retailers and had gotten a commitment from them in terms of being able to stay open and operational for the foreseeable future. I know Walmart was definitely mentioned in assuring the President that they can and will stay open through this.

We're being told & warned repeatedly this is going to get much worse very soon. Some people just don't get it & if you've watched those recent vids I posted here you'll see exactly that. Some people either just don't care about potentially spreading this around & would rather just party with others in large crowds &/or are just plain stupid. I'd be shocked if this doesn't get much worse soon, just like we're being told repeatedly. Just doing the math tells us that it will. I'm not trying to be alarmist here, but considering that way too many people just seem to not care about this, is quite alarming in & of itself.

Well where else will you guy's get food from if them and others shut? I know America apparently has some weird thing about the availability of bread in normal times.

I'm not sure. Something about it having to come in from the Midwest.

Best Buy does sell some hardware items that could be considered necessities, such as appliances and cell phones (and peripherals). They could always start selling some of the other necessities like TP and hand sanitizers, etc (stuff that they can easily stock and is not perishable) to help take the load off the grocery stores, big box and Target/Walmart, since they have so many outlets out there. The more stores that customers can go to to get supplies, the more spread out they will be.

My colleague says that she and her husband feel run down today and have fevers. She thinks it's the flu.

Luckily we're all working from home so whatever she has, I won't catch it. But still, people have to stop assuming they have a cold or flu. At this time, any cold or flu symptom you have needs to be taken VERY VERY SERIOUSLY! I can't stress that enough. This is exactly why this virus is spreading. Too many people roaming around thinking they just have a cold.

So if you feel sick and do take ibuprofen, and it does make you feel better, then it can be assumed you don't have the Coronavirus?
