OK, so what? I'm talking about the laws of physics here and I feel like I'm arguing with people skeptical about global warming. Warm and humid weather are mitigating factors and if you find that debatable that I'll just let that one be.

At least my coach is Hal Higdon but I adjust his plans accordingly and hope for the best. That accidental 13.1 in February due to mistakes and personal stupidity is looking a lot better right now lol.
I've been doing low carb for the last five years, which is the reason why I got my weight down and start running seriously in the first place. It worked so well that I suspected that I was pre-diabetic.

Yeah I'm probably pre-diabetic now too and I do enjoy running, actually even more than I enjoy weight-lifting. As much as I miss work (just kidding, I do miss getting paid though) and school, this down time makes it easier for me to do schoolwork, work out and have plenty of time to do other things.

I know; 58,000 US servicemen.
By weekend's end it should be close, and next Monday it'll surpass it (only the confirmed ones). ...And in much less time than the Vietnam War.

It wasn't "easy", lazy people like easy solutions, if it was easy they would have done it. You have to remember that the people making decisions want to keep making decisions and they don't want to rock the boat because they're rarely held accountable if things do go tits up.

Basically you're calling shutting down Planet Earth "Easy" and even then people would have slipped through the cracks.

Also, does anyone know the situation with air travel, are flights still running domestically and internationally in the US? It looks like Heathrow is still running internationally in some capacity. It's not something I've been keeping tabs on.

Do they still do fire drills? Loud bell rings and everyone leave the school in an orderly fashion. Waits outside for 15 minutes than marches back into school.
Varicella vaccine (chickenpox) didn't arrive until 1995, there was no measles vaccine until 1963 with Mumpsvax arriving in 1967 and rubella vaccine arriving in 1969. Not sure what years you're referring to but DPT (Diptheria, pertussis [whooping cough], tetanus) and smallpox vaccines were the only ones given in the 1950s with polio vaccine joining the schedule upon it's approval in 1955.

I remember fire drills at boarding school in the UK, they'd always do them between 2-4am, bastids!!

Southwest said their flights are down to 5% I believe, so pretty much all pleasure trips are canceled.

I invested in a gym for my work in January and I've been using it a lot, since I can lift anytime while I'm here. I found it impossible to be consistent going to the gym after work and running as well. I'm generally wore out by 4:30 (mentally and physically) and there is a lot of mental in lifting as you know (like in dumbbell presses).

I wonder how empty the planes are that do fly. Are they mandating 6 feet, or just leaving the middle seat empty?

If anyone's interested in what a smaller country is doing, if you land in Grand Cayman right now it doesn't matter whether you had a quarantine plan or your home stocked with food thanks to your children in advance, etc., you are being taxied directly to the Choice Suites hotel (I believe arranged by Dart, the cups guy, who owns massive amounts of land in Cayman and has completely developed the North Sound side of the tourist areas over the past 20 years) where you have a compulsory 14 day quarantine.

No commercial flights, only legal residents of the island and Caymanians of course. If you're not an essential employee, you are allowed out on Mon, Wed and Fri if your surname is A-L and Tue, Thur and Sat if your surname is M-Z and Sunday is compulsory shut down entire island. The population is around 55,000, I believe last week they received 200,000 tests from South Korea and are looking to test everyone.

AMC Won’t Re-Open Theaters Until Studios Have New Movies to Show

Quote:
One of the most perplexing parts of our current COVID-19 reality is how the hell local governments are deciding to re-open movie theaters, a recreational activity that inherently flies in the face of pretty much every safety precaution for COVID-19. Just a few days after Georgia Governor Brian Kemp made the radically ill-advised move to start re-opening theaters as early as [checks notes[ three days from right now, AMC released a statement offering a few details on its plan. The theater chain, which has more than 6,300 locations in the United States, won’t be welcoming anyone back through its doors until there is new studio content to be screened.

Right now, the next studio project still sitting in its original release date is Christopher Nolan‘s Tenet, scheduled for July 17. After that, Disney’s live-action Mulan remake arrives on July 24. AMC noted that it would first re-open with a slate of older films, but that won’t happen unless it leads directly to a new release.

Better get that package holiday to Italy cancelled, well you can't be too careful these days.

Have to wear masks to board in Canada....flight crew wear masks...no more middle seats - but based on flight bookings, it's not an issue currently to social distance.

Sounds like Illinois is doing mandatory masks starting next Friday if you go out and about.

I have issues with having stuff on my face/head/wrists, so I never wear hats or watches, for example, but like half my customers I still associate with. I will have to wear a mask for those stops apparently. Crap.
