That's wholly incorrect. The virus can be in you and you never know it/develop symptoms. The virus can also be in you and hasn't started attacking anything yet. The people that I know who have come back with a positive diagnosis absolutely "suddenly" felt like hell. One worked that morning/afternoon and felt completely fine. Then, suddenly, that night felt like complete Hell.
Japan cases are way down, Singapore trending down. Actually most areas in the world (Brazil the most notable exception) are trending down in cases and deaths.
I haven't had an antibody test; I just know I didn't have it three weeks ago tomorrow. I don't see how I could've had the coronavirus in December, of course, but the "feeling like shit all of a sudden" thing was definitely me. Just in time to screw up my birthday and christmas with the family.

Around the same time, or shortly after, my boss' secretary developed a nasty cold and she was hacking up her guts for at least a week. I'm convinced we both have had the virus even as early as December.

In general I’d be weary of such “wishful thinking“ as it may lead people to thinking they’re unlikely to get it again (for the foreseeable future at least), creating a false sense of security and maybe putting themselves in greater risk of actual infection.

I believe I had it as I was sick as a dog for a good week back in March, sweats and chills and cough and sore throat included. But I still play it very safe and assume it wasn't in case it indeed wasn't the Coronavirus.

Now it's time move on to save the economy and the lives it will destroy if we don't open. The ones most affected by lockdowns are the working class poor and small businesses.

I'm not. As bad as it is, people are flouting the rules anyway. Shouldn't continue to keep people from going to work, school, drinks and church. Other things are less essential and can wait until there's more measures in place.
