SMH

I mean, did they cough and sneeze all over you. Maybe play a game of spittoon?

Being next to a person isn't going to kill you generally speaking. The probability of you getting Coronavirus and dying is still relatively low and if you're of a vulnerable group, then maybe having others shop for you or leaving to return at another time might be better.

I genuinely can't believe how effective this fear mongering in the media has been for the majority and its damaging to us as a society viewing each other like we're walking death.

I guess you haven't heard about Florida, and their covering up of deaths. There is no way that only 7 deaths occured in the entire state of Florida yesterday.

They're the state in which Governor DeSantis fired the scientist in charge of Florida’s Covid-19 database for the Florida Department of Health, Dr. Rebekah Jones, correct? Dr. Jones says that she was fired because she protested against an order to censor information & for refusing to “manually change data to drum up support for the plan to reopen”.

Correct. You can find the text of the emails where certain data was ordered to be omitted, and she said it's the wrong move, and the next day she was re-assigned. The Governor has tried to do damage control, but it's pretty obvious that they're trying to paint a rosier picture of their re-opening than what's actually happening.

Daily deaths and cases are not reported consistently (or as they occur) in many states and countries, but they are eventually reported within a few days. Go by the seven day moving average instead.

Found a barber who is taking appointments for cuts at his home. Dude is charging $35 but I'm gonna have to go for it - my hair has become unmanageable and I'm starting to look like a hobo. Barber shops should be allowed to open - they're not the kind of business where people go to socialize with dozens of other customers - they're usually small shops with two or three customers. As long as everybody wears a mask we should be fine

It’s ok for you, you’re already living in your own little bubble.

Hence the shower...

I wouldn’t call it a product of fear mongering per se, it’s a product of working in a hospital lab and a wife that’s a microbiologist so we kind of already are germaphobes. That was before Covid.

Our drive-in has reopened, but they are playing shit movies right now since the studios aren't distributing anything. I might go just to get some normalcy back.

Drive-ins haven't been anything close to a normality since like the 1980's.
