Depends. Almost every porn star has Herpes, it's just a given. However they more than likely don't have anything deadly such as HIV or Syphilis etc.

This virus won't go away until the majority of the planet is infected and recovered, or a vaccine is made, or most likely a combination of both.

By the numbers (it's already old...few hours ago) ...

20200325_172635.jpg

20200325_172519.jpg

In nine days the percentage of deaths went from 8% to 16%

But when did they die? It's possible people are being identified post-mortem.

If hypothetically here in Britain we have gained significant progress towards heard immunity. That those cases got lost in flu season, as it was probably the milder strain.

Could it be POS travel ban from China prevented America getting the less severe strain? And thus meaning a lot of the population not building immunity

Would be a strange twist. But would go a long way to explaining Italy and Spain outside of population demographics.

There are about 500,000 British Chinese people, but they are far more decentralized. You can probably find at least one Chinese family in every village and town on this island. Not to mention all the tourism across this island, and people studying here from China

Contrast that with Italy where you have about 300,000 Chinese Italians (drolls at the prospect of the combination of Italian and Chinese food) , but they are all mostly concentrated in one area. Lombardy.

It's going to be interesting over the coming weeks when we get more scientific data. I don't think this pandemic is straight forward at all.

It was hardly a travel ban here, and the virus was here well before that.

Um, I doubt that. Believe it or not, porn stars are very clean because as Scarface32 said, they get tested very often.

Herpes is pretty irrelevant. Most of us have HSV-1. 2 is just a difference of location.

More deaths are coming up, ...15,000 critical.

* I don't know if they put a sticker with the date. ...And if it's before or after they die.

My home state of Louisiana is getting hit hard. Mardi Gras more than likely contributed to the spread there.

A rather bleak outlook of the next 18 months, according to this article:

Month One: Infection
Month Three: Recession
Month Six: Relapse
Month Twelve: Resilience
Month Eighteen: Recovery

Flu outbreaks are just as rapid, maybe even more so. That's why there is no "flu containment," because it is impossible to contain -- sort of like right now. Any disease that can infect you just by you inhaling, and that you can infect others just by exhaling (not just sneezing or coughing), is guaranteed to spread fast. When you exhale, moisture comes out of your mouth just the same, and so do germs. Covid-19 puts more germs into our bodies than flu does, even while you are asymptomatic, so it makes you exhale more covid-19 germs. That's why a person with covid-19 can infect 2.3 people near him but a flu person can only infect 1.3 people. That is why even with the city practically in lockdown mode, it still spreads like crazy -- because air is all around us, and people exhale and inhale constantly. This is why experts have said covid-19 is 10-15 times deadlier than flu in terms of fatalities, and they said it months ago. But the real killer now is there is no vaccine yet, not until many months from now.

The surgical mask that you see many people wearing is GARBAGE. It is TOO SMALL and not air-tight. You are better off tying a scarf around your face and nose. But of course, you are still breathing the air around you no matter what you wear on your head. That's why experts suggest avoiding crowded spaces altogether.

We're at wartime. It's sort of like the beach scene at the beginning of Saving Private Ryan, when the medical commander is telling the medics what to give each wounded patient, and dismissing some of the wounded as being already as good as dead.

It's amazing how quickly the unimaginable becomes imaginable. This is like seeing the news unfold on the morning of the 9/11 attacks, except stretched out to weeks on end.
Terrifying. And much of this - what is happening at hospitals - is due to not being properly equipped/prepared for something like this. Our society was absolutely not prepared for something of this magnitude. There just isn't the necessary supplies and equipment currently available to ship to all the hospitals. But there should be. This is what we expect out of our government - having a plan to take care of its citizens if something like this occurs. They have failed. Why aren't supplies stockpiled? Considering what hospitals charge for services, why aren't they much better equipped with reserve supplies and necessary equipment?

I am officially scared as hell of what the future brings - I'm certain I'm echoing what many others are feeling. Thankfully I'm able to work from home, so still have a job - but I know many others aren't nearly as lucky.

Unemployment is (or will be soon) worse than it's ever been. I strongly suspect this will cause an increase in crime (and it's probably already happening), due to people being out of work & resorting to desperate measures for money - even if they've been law-abiding citizens in the past.

Still haven't been able to find TP, Kleenex, etc. in stores.

Like many others, I am self-isolating as much as possible. I feel fine, and have been very careful. However, if I get sick there is no way in hell I'm going to try to go to a hospital or doctor's office - which will just make things worse. Also, there's no vaccine/cure for COVID-19 yet, so I don't see the point anyway.

It truly feels like the end of the world is at hand. I wonder if things will ever get back to normal....I somehow doubt it.

Though I typically have a lot of respect for doctors/nurses - especially in these horrific times...it's obvious that there's no way they can really help COVID-19 patients. There's no cure for this.

I also agree completely that hospital/emergency room visits can be extremely expensive - even if you have insurance. This is exactly why many people avoid going to doctors - even if they're sick.

Crime has actually dropped significantly in NYC.

Quote:
Citywide crime is down almost 17% compared to the same week last year, with dramatic drops in violent crime -- shootings down 23.5%, rapes down 69% and assaults down 9%
https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/loca...-hold/2343578/

Now, granted, we're still VERY much at the beginning of this. I fully expect it to last months. And that will be the true test.

Meanwhile we have crackpots like this who don't even accept this as real:

'Very, very dangerous' Goop 'expert' slammed for bizarre coronavirus video

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/kell...164034780.html

“Am I convinced that this is true, that there are little invisible pathogens that randomly jump around from person to person and have the capacity to really harm, injure and even kill?” Brogan asked. “...That’s a really hard way to live. At a time when we know that our biology knows that we need each other. We need touch, we need contact we need togetherness.”

She seems to be not be aware of these little things called microbes and viruses and cells. I hate to even give her any attention in here, but people should be aware of the nuts out there that are going to make this harder on us. Some people actually follow her and this "goop" nonsense.

Great, finally an effective way to reduce crime.
