LOL I'll just say I DO try to avoid people when I'm running. It's the pedestrians who think it's funny to walk 3 people side by side and block off the entire trail that annoy me. Wouldn't bother me at all if someone knocked them over.

As I said, glad you do that, I have yet to see that behaviour here.

I'll be honest, most people who use trails lack proper trail etiquette. Stay to the right, don't do group things that block off the trail. Also, honestly, bicyclists should be using the bicycle lane instead of taking up space on a trail meant for hikers and runners. Runners should be trying to avoid other people anyway, it's just common courtesy.

Not being political with this statement...I'm sick of all sides at this point...but mostly I am over people on EVERY side from the politicians themselves, the media and people who just love stirring the pot playing the blame game with this thing.

We are WAAAAAAY beyond where it started, why it spread, why wasn't it stopped sooner etc...who cares now, it's done...it doesn't mean a thing at this point. The only people who need to know this stuff is the people working out ways to contain/end it.

It's happened, it's everywhere...thousands of people are dying a day, do your best Mean Girls impersonation AFTER we have this thing under control and have returned to some kind of whatever the new normal is going to be.

It's not achieving anything or helping anyone!

Just further proof a lot of people care more about attention or being right than doing anything to help other people get through this alive.

I'm avoiding single track trails for now, and if I do decided to run on one while this is still a threat, I'll have mask ready to pull over my face. I imagine a lot more people are using trails now and I don't feel comfortable as a runner having to deal with always having to get by them (and I'm sure they aren't either).

Why I'm going to start running more by my sister's house. The trail I normally use is high traffic and a lot of people walk the hills behind my house for some reason. My sister's neighborhood is pretty low in foot traffic, only actually encountered one other person who wasn't driving or riding in a car during yesterday's 3.5 mile run.

someone posted earlier about symptoms ov covid19. someone responded with the CDC link which only states Fever, Cough and Shortness of Breath. but there are many other milder symptoms which can be early warning signs, which im not sure why they arent listed on the CDC site.

anyway, heres a few more symptoms associated with Covid19. problem is, they are symptoms associated with regular cold and various other things, so dont freak out if you have them. just continue to monitor yourself and look for the main 3, Fever, Cough, shortness of breath to follow

Burger King is still open where you live ? Here all Burger Kings, McDonalds and Quicks are closed. Even take-out or drive through.

Drive-through only, first time I've gotten fast food during this lock down, trying to conserve cash in case this lasts longer than I think it will.

The trail system right by my neighborhood is closed, so I'm running paved trails and sidewalks in the area. Thankfully, I can go out of my front door and have access to all of these right there. Since my normal running route, the trail system, is not available, I've been exploring new routes through nearby subdivisions, etc.

Yesterday afternoon, I ran 13 miles just by playing it by ear, running down random roads in town, and using the Strava app on my phone to gauge the mileage.

Record number of deaths in NY again.

Curve is flattening but I've heard from two different friends in the last 24 hours who lost someone close to them because of it.

They already told us we are expected to be at work unless we show symptoms. So, nothing changes for me. (Hopefully)

some dickwad a couple of weeks back came way too close to me doing his running in the neighborhood - "social distancing" wasn't on his mind, I so wanted to peg a rock at him.

I normally do a mix of trails and streets. This time of the year it's mainly streets anyway, as I train for a spring marathon (Boston last three years). Then I do mostly trails in the summer and fall for trail races. Hopefully we'll see some trail races this fall, don't have much hope for the street races though. I can't deny that training is more fun with a race to look forward to.

"A study in mid-March told us that the novel virus can be found for up to three hours in the air, and can live for up to three days on plastic and stainless steel. Then, the CDC found traces of the virus inside one of the cruise ships that housed quarantined COVID-19 patients 17 days after they left. That doesn’t mean the virus is infectious after that long, but the finding goes to show why SARS-CoV-2 is so dangerous.

Published in The Lancet in early April, a new study from the University of Hong Kong looked at the stability of the virus in various environments. This is the study that said that “a detectable level of infectious virus could still be present on the outer layer of a surgical mask on day 7.” This detail alone should remind you to always ditch disposable masks and wash the reusable ones you make at home each time you’ve used one. Also, it’s critical to avoid touching the mask and touching your face while you’re using the mask."

Making post lockdown plans.

1) Get my hole
2) McDonald's breakfast

That about covers it.
