Had my first flu shot a couple years ago, after not having the flu since I was a child. Had the worst sickness a couple times the next year, I am talking cold sweats passed out on the cold bathroom tile bad. But between my daughter and my nephew (who in his first year of life has had three open heart surgeries due to a heart defect) I will do what I have to do to keep the kids safer.

I got an Amazon Fresh delivery this morning. I'm still a little wary of the virus being on the stuff they're delivering, so I'm wiping everything down with disinfectant wipes, which feels wrong, but it's a trade-off I'm willing to do.

Newsom mentioned herd immunity several times in his speech. Does he really think that most people will get it by the time a vaccine is out? And if he does, he probably believes the amount of people who already have or had it is seriously undercounted by a factor of 10x or greater. Otherwise it doesn't make sense, unless herd immunity can be applied to a small percentage of the population.

the only part that is a bit concerning is that he says things start to open up when social distancing can be placed at jobs AND schools... how exactly is that ever going to work in schools?
