While the vaccine will be ready soon, only certain people (like health care workers and those most at risk) will get first priority in the Fall. The rest of us have to wait until the Spring 2021, which is the slated time for its release to the general public.

It's always been 12-18 months. That's not sooner than expected.

And the person quoted is speaking hypothetically.

This is something I've been concerned for a while now.
It's important for the scientists to have all accounted for.
If they only rely on test kits (people tested and confirmed positive) to count the dead they cannot predict nowhere close where we going next ...

But this is the same in pretty much all countries who experience lots of deaths ... China, Italy, Spain, France, UK, ... and of course USA.

New York wants to include everyone, they want to be transparent, to tell the truth.

A friend that's a nurse has been texting me a lot lately. This is him on a daily basis.

I really hope that, whenever this is over, we don't forget about our first responders and their mental health. They're each seeing an incredible number of people die on a daily basis. Imagine the mental toll that would take on someone.

you conveniently left out literally the next line of the article:

"Other researchers are skeptical, saying the type of vaccine she's referring to has not been successful in humans."

dont expect a vaccine for another 12-18 months. if that....

Washington DC. I try to go there at least once a year when the weather is warm. Last two years have been great and was looking forward to going there again this year.

Truth! I was just about to post something similar.

Funny how I have all these Facebook friends of mine who always brag about their kids, and how great their kids are and telling me "Don't you want kids?" and "Why don't you want kids?"

Well, they all sure have gone quiet the last few weeks.
