The US stock markets down three days in a row, not as severe today with the Dow Jones losing just slightly less than 0.5%. Still that's a total of 7% down in the last three days ($2 trillion wipepout).
It's not a question of if but when a Pandemic will be officially declared. 48 countries now have infested Coronavirus citizens. • https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ Canada just got one more infected citizen (Toronto), and ... • https://nationalpost.com/news/world/...a-wuhan-deaths Meanwhile in the USA ... • https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates...es-2020-02-25/ • https://www.ft.com/content/ac625338-...c-b0457b572fa1 Someone impotant will speak shortly ... I was just thinking ... we now have 48 countries that have reported cases of the Coronavirus. Maybe 50 is the number of countries it takes to announce a global Pandemic? It could be tomorrow, or next week...this coming up Sunday, March 1st.

Coronavirus Vaccine 'At Least a Year' Away, Health Official Says
On Wednesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), clarified information about the state of COVID-19 in the United States, including when a vaccine could be made available. "In order to get a vaccine that's practically deployable for people to use, it's going to be at least a year to a year and a half at best," Fauci told CNN New Day host John Berman. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/hea...cid=spartandhp |

With regard to coronavirus, I’m not concerned about myself or about catching the virus/recovering from the virus myself.
I am concerned, however, about the possible disruptions to our lives that may likely occur during the next several months, and about the ripple effects of the virus. There’s a distinct possibility that several of the summer concerts that I have already bought tickets to (The Rolling Stones, Def Leppard, Nick Cave, Bauhaus, etc.) could be canceled. I mean, I know that this is hardly tragic, but still... More importantly, there is also the chance that the availability of groceries, fresh foods, etc. could be affected. There is a chance that travel to work may be affected. In other words... Dear coronavirus, please don’t #@%$ up my summer. There is a lot of seemingly small things that are taking big hits now. For example, a wig maker in England uses human hair to make hair weaves and nearly all of the hair comes from China. Her supply has been shut off completely. How long can a small business owner like that survive with zero supply? A large corporation may be inconvenienced but that small business may cease to exist. Obviously, I worry about my elderly parents and about other relatives and friends. I’m nowhere near panic level, but the scenario outlook seems worse each day. Not that I'm concerned ...... but with the news that active cases of the virus is being reported less than 2 hours (and 120 minutes makes it feel worse) away and they are on the same connecting Interstate. Is troubling.
The normal preparedness is about the same for everything else, but one tip caught me off guard: (for cat friends) have a 60 day cat litter supply. I don't know why that was the thing that struck me, but I do I have a cat who could Gold Medal in the Cat's Olympics for pooping. (he's old and on meds). As long as the power holds, I have enough unwatched media (not counting the Internets) to keep me busy probably a couple of years (more like a decade), not to mention books, and hell, I might break out the paints and do a mural on the bathroom wall and living room ceiling. As long as UPS/FedEx, and USPS can get packages through, I'm good. |

Thirty-three people have tested positive for the coronavirus in California, more than any other state, and at least 8,400 people who have returned from overseas are being monitored.

I'm not worrying so much for myself, but my parents, who are both in their mid 70s, my dad git his flu shot last year, but my mom refused to get one.
Older folks like my parents don't have as strong immune systems, I would hate to loose them from this virus. ![]() |

Florida has tested 15 people, and is monitoring 150 more.
"Florida won’t release data on coronavirus testing." Must be top secret (classified info)? |
