Did you read the article? Because it doesn't sound like you did. Apparently you know something scientists don't as well because no one has been able to confirm whether COVID-19 has seasonality to it or not. It's in Australia, which is in Summer now, and is hot and humid, so why isn't it working there? Read the article dude.

We must slow the spread of the virus. Therefore, the United States is going to be on complete lockdown effective immediately. Everyone must stay in their homes. If anyone is caught leaving their homes for any reason, they will face life in prison....

I can see that happening soon. We might have to take extreme drastic measures if we want to slow the spread. So far, the spread is not slowing down by any means, so apparently, we're not doing enough. We must do more!!

Well, humidity does play a big role as well. The hotter and humid it is, the harder is it for viruses to survive. Don't know about the Coronavirus tho; none of us do. This is something we need to wait and see. Only time will tell.

But what scares me is that the Coronavirus is now in all 50 states and some of those states, such as Florida, it's already pretty warm and humid. So, I'm kind of concerned that this particular virus can live through the warm and humid weather.

Not going to happen... however, the incubation period is up to 14 days so expect more confirmed cases to be announced. It's just way too early to say we're not doing enough.

Mayor De Blasio is going to decide within the next day or two whether he's going to completely shutdown NYC... i.e. no one is allowed to go out unless it's for essential needs such as food. I feel it's going to happen considering that we're going to reach over 2,000 cases before the end of the week. Not good!

New York City specifically is just growing out of control, and it's only a matter of time now before the city is on some kind of lock-down. Too many people just aren't taking it seriously enough.

Regardless, they're eating on our subway system.

She should be wearing a sweater that says "Give it to me."

At first it seemed like it was mostly just young adults, teens, etc. who were apathetic towards the pandemic. The local bars and restaurants were absolutely packed with the schools out until officials stepped in. But on the flipside I'm seeing a whole lot of older adults who are the same way. I'm friends with a lot of seniors and was actually criticized recently for suggesting a social gathering be cancelled; it was over text message and most people basically were mocking me for it. I'm one of the youngest as a millennial and most of these people are over 50 with a good amount of people in their 60s and 70s as well. If you even suggest to them to stay home, there's at least one person who will fire back with something like 'just bring lysol' or 'stay home if you're a baby.' One the surface around here it doesn't really appear that people are taking it seriously.

We probably have 8,000-10,000 in the city right now realistically. I know that's alarming to hear, but with the exponential growth,.and the slow testing you know it's way more than the reported numbers. Keep in mind that if it is 8,000 that's still just 0.1% of the population of the city. It's still clearly concerning due to the load it will have on the hospitals however.

I don't think De Blasio can do the shut down without Cuomo, and right now he doesn't approve of it. I think De Blasio is in full panic mode, but that's going to only make things worse in the city. Cuomo is at least calm and explains things properly, and honestly.

My nephew and his father was supposed to go to San Francisco to visit a college that he was interested in. Obviously, they decided on postponing their trip.

I do notice that there is less traffic, especially when I’m heading home from work. I guess lots of people are staying off the roads and in public places.

I’m having a hard time deciding how often to go to the grocery store.

I bought a reserve supply of food that would probably last me about two weeks.

But I don’t want to start using it or I may get caught with very little when the real S hits the fan.

...how often are you guys going?

Have they only tested it on people's of European ethnic extraction? Those GI problems could be a lot worse in humans of African extraction.

Trying to limit going twice a week here in Edinburgh. Just bare in mind none of the staff of these stores are panic buying. They know there's plenty to go around. If it really was going to get bad for necessities, you'd know about immediately. As government's would impose rationing.

I'm done. My entire freezer (and almost all of my fridge) is stocked if/when they shut the city down.

Today's run was just to get some snacks.

I’m not worried about rationing.

But I am concerned about a quarantine scenario where the state or local government orders people to stay in their homes until further notice.

...not sure how long my supply of Oreos would last.

Supermarkets around my area are already all cleaned out, so they're hopeless. I'll probably have to start ordering from Fresh Direct.
