I'm more surprised by the drastic shift in colour grading. The degraining is to be expected for a JP anime UHD, and honestly not as bad as it could've been (but still quite poorly done in spots- look at the plants in the first shot), but the CC is very different. Unfortunately I can't find any animation cel pics which match up with the caps, so

Hanging on to my original Bandai Blu. Easy pass.

Hard to say for a HDR to SDR image. Another reason this whole gen has been a nightmare.

Is the included Blu-ray disc just a reissue of the old one, or is it a new disc?

New disc. Screenshots in the link are from the BD.

Thank you. Looks like I will hang on to my old Bandai Visual copy until we have more impressions. I think it might be the oldest Blu-ray in my library!

Old thread, but I'm really on the fence about picking this up. I have the old Blu Ray box set, though I could probably sell it and cover a fair bit of the price of the 4K. Is it worth it though, or should I just stick with the old (windowboxed) Blu? Anyone actually have the 4k and any impressions?

Did you not peruse the only two pages this thread consists of? Multiple people say the UHD is bad and to keep the Blu ray.

Not many impressions from people who actually own the disc though, smart-arse.
