Definitely in for this. It will undoubtably be pricey, but certain titles are worth it, and this is such a title.

Oh damn, I love this movie. Can't say I'm going to love paying like 95 dollars for it.

I hope it doesn't have DNR like Akira and Ghost in the Shell.

It obviously does (just watch the trailer). DNR is necessary here when one considers how aggressive the HDR grades on these classic anime films on UHD are. Had they been more conservative in nit counts, we'd possibly see more grain, (which is what I'd prefer in general, as I think older films don't seem right with absurdly high nit counts) but considering how Japanese consumers hate film grain on older anime, it wouldn't be guaranteed. I'm still getting this, however.

This is the first major* release of the film on any format to not be windowboxed, ever, iirc. Even my 1990 Laserdisc copy is windowboxed.

*Yes, I know the UK and French BDs aren't windowboxed, but they zoomed in the windowboxed master and accidently cropped out some of the image; so by loosing more of the image from zooming in on a windowboxed master, I don't really count those.

I tried to pre order this but from what I gathered from the links and english translations, a special edition will be on sale at a screening presumably in Japan on 10/28/22. The pre order starts on 11/4/22 and general sale on 11/25/22. I think this link is only for international buyers outside of Japan:

Close to £90 (excluding shipping). Pricey as expected, but I guess with the release date being close to the end of the year, it’s looking like this may well be a treat for Christmas 2022.

Pricey but I'm totally down for it. Hopefully when they get round to them Bandai similarly release their other big titles - Patlabor, Macross: Do You Remember Love? - on the format with English subtitles.

Aye for that much money, I wish they would have included the fantastic soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto

They did, actually.

One of the extras is the entire soundtrack set to concept art. Same as my 1990 Laserdisc. Since the CD is absurdly OOP (and incomplete! The CD has only tracks used in the film, while this has all the tracks Sakamoto composed, most of which were never used in the final film), the 1990 LD and now this 2022 UHD are the easiest ways to get the complete soundtrack.

Will this release really have HDR? No mention of it anywhere, I haven't read anything confirming this besides this website's database entry, and I currently don't have my PC connected to an HDR display to check if the trailer on YouTube is encoded with HDR. There have been a handful of UHD SDR-only Anime releases already, so it may be too early to assume anything about this.
