AVF's review of the UB700 confirms that it's basically the same player as the UB900 without the external frills of analogue outs and a fancy remote, if I could get it for less than £300 I'd be sorely tempted, yessir.

Is the Canadian version of this player any different than the US version. I found a used unit from Canada and want to make sure I can use it here in the United states. Thanks

I believe the apps are different and of course, no warranty in the USA. Not sure, but upgrades may not work here. What benefit is their in importing a used UB900?

OK I will hold off then. It was just used so cheaper than I could find it for here in the us

Hey guys I can't seem to get 4k netflix content on this player. I have already changed my subscription to the $11.99 plan and also set playback settings to high. But when I go into the Netflix app I have no 4k content only HD. Any ideas on what is going on?

How have you set the 50/60p settings? If it's on 4:2:0 then HDR won't be output because the streaming is at 60p.

Ok quick update I changed my output from auto to 4k and set it to 4k/60p 4:4:4 and now netflix gives me 4k ultra HD titles so I don't know which of those 2 settings did it but it works now. Thanks! Now I need to figure out why I don't have hulu on this player. Any ideas where I can dl the app ? It's not preloaded or in the marketplace

Yes, 4K/60 set to 4:4:4 is what does the trick.

Do any of you guys know what "frequency out of range" means sometime when I turn on my uhd player I get a blank black screen and in the bottom left corner is say frequency out of range and nothing happens. If I change inputs on my receiver from what I'm on to something else and then back to the bluray input my player then does work. Any ideas?

It's funny you should mention this cause I had the exact same problem some time ago albeit just once and it was with my Sony S790 BDP (but I also happen to own the Panasonic UB900).

Anyone using this player with an LG OLED TV? I saw on another forum there's a lot of complaints about banding when used with LG TVs. I'm wondering if that other site is making a bigger deal out of it than it really is.

Just posted about this last night. The Black Friday promotion ends 11/28 and saves $100.
