Did it a few times from different parts of the movie including the top menu, went "HOME" then video, chose disc and it resumed exactly where I left off without issues. I did this various times and zip nada, I hope this gets resolved for you.

The messed-up thing is that I even tried two different UB700's! But they both had the exact same trouble so I gave up, got a refund on it, bought a UB900 and the first disc I tried on it was MJ Pt2. Worked like a charm, loaded up first time and played glitch free.

I hope I don't get any trouble with John boy when he arrives
thats because UB900 is king!

If I stop the 4K disc and attempt to resume it in any form (even shutting off the player) I get a no signal error message and "0:00:00" on the front display. What's really crazy is that after letting it go for several minutes it eventually loaded once for me. Still, I'm not satisfied.

I should be hearing back in 24-48 hours. Let's hope this issue gets fixed.

I just find it bizarre how everything else has managed to work thus far (4K and standard BD alike) except for this film.
Thinking outside of the box, or player/media in this case, I'm wondering if it could be network related?

The reason I ask is that some titles will download the largest movie trailers prior to playback of the movie? I have seen this impart rather lengthy delays in getting to the playback menu. Perhaps 4K trailers and glitchy bandwidth?

I'm looking to pair my LG E6 OLED with this Panny player and need some help please...

I have a Directv HDR (mini Genie) going straight HDMI to my TV to access the 4K channels. I then have an optical cable running to my Pio AVR if I want audio through my floor speakers.

I currently have a standard Sony BDP going to the AVR and then to the TV. I do not believe my Pio AVR will pass the 4K signal from this Panny player to my TV. Is this correct?

If so, would I have to run HDMI straight to the TV and then another cable to the AVR for audio, like I am currently doing with my Directv box?

Yeah, if the AVR won't pass it you will have to use the dual HDMI outs on the 900.

That's what I thought, which brings me to my follow up question...

Would it make sense to have my Directv box feed into the Panny and then the Panny to the TV with optical to the AVR? I guess the only point would be if the Panny would improve the PQ from Directv before it goes to the TV.

You cannot feed the Directv into the 900.

I thought I saw someone posting in the Oppo thread about using the Oppo as a pass-through for it's up-conversion ability.

The Oppo has an HDMI In, the 900 does not.

I checked both ways on my LG OLED, and I dont think it is worth it. Also, the HDMI In is currently broken on the Oppo, lip sync for one is problematic.

I just tried JW on my 900, pressed Home and then played it, it asked me to resume and played without a hitch. FW 1.69, no internet connection, SD card in the front, for what it's worth.

It should be fine. I would recommend using "Auto" on everything in the Oppo at first.

Does anyone know how to disable the automatic stand-by function, if there is a way to do that? After 20 minutes of inactivity the player shuts itself down but I don't want that.

Nice little vid from HDTVTest re: the new players with features like HLG to PQ conversion, new 10-bit output and (not mentioned) the "Daytime HDR" mode that I keep going on about, which will all apparently make into the UB700 & 900 via a firmware update "sooner rather than later" according to Vincent Teoh. Excellent.

Just got the 900UB from Best Buy. Couldn't resist at under $400 for an open box. Can't wait to hook it up to the OLED E6 and see what this baby can do.

Anyone having any issues where the Blu-ray player doesn't default to the home screen upon ejecting a film that has just been watched?
