They must have found a way to make it software based now to compete with the other HDR formats like HDR10+ and Technicolor HDR which are software... Smart.

I didn't want to start a new thread just for this but seeing as the DMP-UB700EB has similar specs to the 900EB, what setting should I have Deep Colour Output on. 10 bit or 12 bit priority ?. I have a Panasonic 50DX750B. Thanks

I want to know too.

Youtube streaming is certainly part of the Panny 900 4K BR player's specs; HDR youtube I just don't know.

Amazon HDR and Netflix HDR ... yes. But youtube HDR? I would think so; I couldn't find it by googling it.
Anyone?

No HDR youtube. No Vudu either.

The name of that site has been mentioned previous (around page 20 of this very thread I believe, they do not yet have version 1.74 though). I will proably go for this as not being able to skip things (like trailers etc) really drives me mad and their custom firmware seems to turn that off so you can skip these things.

You could always just get a remote from ebay that will make it multi region for around £13. Search for "Panasonic DVD / Blu-ray player multi-region hack remote". They do seem to work on the UB900 as well.

It doesn't unlock multi region on the Blu-rays only DVD's.

First thing I did when I got my Panny UHD's was apply the remote hack for DVD multiregion. It does not work for Blu-ray.

If you do decide to try the place I will not mention all I can say is vaya con Dios, amigo!

I don't think it's a coincidence it now has about the same retail price as the Oppo 203 model and with the Sony x800 at such a lower price with amazing performance they had to do it.
