I have never had any issues whatsoever with returns to any amazon u.s./u.k./germany/france... I have had to deal with them all of those at one time or another and it's always been great... sometimes I wonder if they treat everyone differently depending on your account standing, how much you order from them, etc... that would be a stupid way of doing business but you never know these days

I also have dead snow on the way with the sin city 2 digibook... I already had the dead snow 2 steelbook and when I found out the other one is for both movies I sold it because it doesn't look near as good... I don't believe the discs have english subs though so I'm just going to swap my u.s. discs into the steel

I purchased the blu-ray from Best Buy for $6 to put in my steel. Dead Snow 2 is supposed to have English 5.1 as one of the spoken languages. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

I already owned the first one and I prefer to watch the movie in it's native language and read subs as opposed to a dub (even though it's actually spoken in english, to me it's still a dub) so I bought part 2 at best buy when it was on sale for the subs lol

Is the US Blu-ray considered the best version? I might do this as well if it's a better disc. I thought the German disc looked a bit "off", not as sharp as a BD should look IMO. My steelbook arrived yesterday in mint condition. It helped that they double boxed it and used plenty of paper for padding in between. Very nice-looking steel for a seminal horror flick.

I think the Japaense and either French or Dutch discs are the best as far as PQ goes. I bought the 7 movie collection back in September so I do not even plan on opening this one...I just loved the artwork.

I don't believe part 1 in the german steel has english subs and part 2 doesn't have english subs but it has an english option, not an english dub but all the actors actually speak english instead which to me is still odd as I'd rather watch it in the native language... that is my reason for swapping the discs

Interesting, I didn't even think about the Japanese version having better PQ than the US. Oh well. Lol

I think I am too...for the record I was referring to Saw...not Dead Snow.

Unless I am wrong, the JP and FR disc have the best AQ and I believe the JP is a smidgen better than the FR disc.

That's my fault too. I thought we were still discussing Dead Snow. Sorry for the slight derailing of the thread.

Just for clarification can someone confirm the best quality Blu-ray Discs for Saw? I'm reading 1st) Japanese, 2nd) French and 3rd) USA, would really appreciate links to those specific releases as I will want to hunt one down....
However, does the French have forced french subtitles? Any assistance/clarification greatly appreciated

I would like to know this too, and also, does anyone know how the UK disc compares to the others?

I have a question about the German release in general. I'm slightly confused about "US directors cut" vs regular directors cut vs unrated. From my understanding, the german bd has a quick removal of plot scene at the end and logos have replaced. Anything else? Any gore missing from the unrated version?

I really want this steelbook, and I'm assuming it's the same exact transfer as the previous german bd. If this is the case then PQ and AQ should still at least be better than any US version to date correct?

The Japanese version looks good but I don't want theatrical, and I'm a sucker for steel books.
