Top Gun is your domain Penton; you are the instructor. I can't wait to see Maverick...those areial shots.

Monica Barbaro ... she's very pretty ...

Well, to the best of my knowledge, that info is not on social media so the answer is a bit esoteric; nevertheless, real life service should always be admired as with choice A, with Stacey. The answer to the multiple choice question on the last page is C. , which should at least make Staying Salty happy on two counts.

Welcome back Scottishguy. Like Leeds United , you hit the ground running forward when coming back onto the pitch. As to your Netflix prediction in the hyperlink, I’ll catch you up on what you’ve missed since your absence, note this - https://www.cnet.com/news/netflix-fo...o-to-primates/

I forsee an additional new mammalian subscriber base . Didn’t expect that ^ , did you. Might have to reassess your prediction of Netflix failure.

That’s out of my wheelhouse. I'm more familiar with musician techies, like so -

who will present at the soon upcoming Hollywood Professional Association Tech Retreat on the topic of…..consumer TVs, etc. You remember right?, "most painful" -> https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...o#post16461286

Since the SMPTE jam, do you think there has been interval improvement, or not? (credits at the end), remember to ‘play it LOUD’ – https://www.linkedin.com/posts/peter...477223936-ZlSM

Well, good guess in the sense that of all the choices, Shane of Dolby <- pictured in hyperlink, is by far

, geographically speaking, located the closest to that particular raceway, but no, he is not the rider twisting the throttle in that picture.

Completing a statement from a post from yesterday -

^ Firstly, because Salty is former Navy - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post15629485
(since that time, 2018, of that video location hint ^ , by now, people should recognize that location and its significance, thanks to Geoff D, in regards to thee upcoming feature film - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post17404180

Secondly, since Salty is a learn-ed connoisseur of the alimentary tract - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t#post18711346
, he should be appreciative of a free access paper coauthored by Michael during his time at Keck - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31355068/

be it two-wheel motorized or pedal powered on a race track, I’ve tended to do it on the dirt, rather than on the street, so nope on “E”. Thru attrition you are narrowing the field so fast that I think I should have included a few other choices like Tim (https://www.company3.com/artists/tim-stipan/) for he regularly rides a motorcycle as he says it prepares him for his colorist office job which involves hours and hours of looking at images on a reference master display. Hey, don't rule out EvilBoris so quickly, those Brits can surprise you.

Anyway, back to nuances related to displaying images accurately, as intended to be seen by the filmmaker(s). Recall that developing a single master has long been the holy grail - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...r#post18090466

In that regard, there is a new article and free white paper on Preserving Your Creative Intent in HDR by Bruno of Colorfront , which dropped last week concerning perceptual color processing to help preserve creative intent including a Single Master Workflow -
https://blog.frame.io/2021/03/08/hdr...eative-intent/
. It’s ^ not as deep a dive as going over a wall off Little Cayman and requires no decompression afterwards. Just a good cup of Joe while reading will do you.

P.S. Full Disclosure: The AJA FS-HDR, which contains the Colorfront engine was involved in the production of Top Gun: Maverick, as described awhile back on Stacey’s thread - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...k#post16639691

Last edited by Penton-Man; 03-15-2021 at 05:26 PM. Reason: added a P.S.

or, down south –

Couple questions to eagle eyes ...

1. Is it in HDR10?
2. Is it HFR?

* Bonus
