Also, does anyone know if this has additional graphics features or benefits on the PS4 Pro system?
Gold is usually 4-6 weeks in advance so this is right on track for a Dec 6 release

I was surprised to hear they suggested there were more bugs than they anticipated when testing the final game and the reason for the delay, but it's good they found them, as with limited time for testing a game, it's not always possible to find a bug, test it to make it happen again, find the cause, then program the solution and hope it doesn't affect other things in the game.

Sadly my expectations are too low, I'll wait for impressions before I buy it

so I just ran across a youtube video last night of Pewdiepie doing a letsplay.

People have been waiting 6yrs for this??
I'll admit, platformers aren't high on my list of games I like, but I just don't see the appeal for this particular game. I predict that this will be highly acclaimed with a cult following but doubt will sell enough to make back 6yrs of development costs.

I hope its just me and that this game does succeed.

The Ico and Shadow of Colossus games are mostly about passive exploration and puzzle solving more than anything, aside from the rare enemy encounters, so watching gameplay, you have to be a fan of that style game to enjoy it.

Both games were very memorable, challenging and fun, though the camera controls on Colossus could be a lot better. Otherwise, great puzzle style games.

Only 39 including soundtrack, not too bad a price for a new release.

I think they're like indie games before indie games became a thing

I see your point.
At the same time, Tetris is a big puzzle game from Nintendo back in the 80's, though it's safe to say these Ico Team games are more like adventure games with puzzle elements.

Slightly different and better offer on at ShopTo with a steelbook, soundtrack and original PS4 faceplate for the game for 40 I believe.

Personally I haven't heard great things about the previews of this despite their previous successes with Ico and SoTC.

From the look of it, fans of the Ico Teams prior games have a sure bet with The Last Guardian, provided the game doesn't have any major issues.

The rare human like bad guys return (as in prior games), no doubt the ones who clipped the Guardian's wings, preventing him from flying.

At least they didnt blame the delay on not wanting a day 1 patch just to release a 7.2GB day 1 patch ... stupid SE

Yeah, that's true. FFXV delayed the game to add the day 1 patch into the disc version, but then decided to create a new 7+ GB day one patch anyway.
