A tiny bit was shot digitally and before any interviews regarding that were given to the press. a challenge was issued back in July to any cinephiles who think/thought they have a good eye for differentiating digital vs. celluloid capture -

Goofy, if you’ve seen the flick, you can probably deduce just from a sense of practicality what was shot with the GoPro HD Hero. The Alexa capture might be more difficult to figure out.

Russell's (Silver Linings Playbook) latest project, American Hustle (2013), starring Christian Bale, Robert De Niro, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner, and Elisabeth Röhm. Mastered in 4K, the release will be available for purchase online and in stored across the nation on March 18th.

EDIT: Beat me to it by a minute Penton-Man! I'll keep this up so we know it's part of Sony's Mastered in 4K line.

I don't see Total Recall (remake) on this list. I thought both the original release as both rated and unrated cuts, and the "mastered in 4k" release both came from the same 4k master?

It had a 2K DI.

The original release with both cuts and the Wal-Mart steelbook come from a 2K DI. However, the 4K release of the theatrical cut did indeed come from a 4K DI.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm happy you put it on your list because when I first scanned L'arms list initially, I didn't see it there.

Point is, I don't want these hybrid motion pictures (which you will see more and more in future) make neither list.

Did some searching and saw a blurb from Fotokem, apparently It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World was scanned in 8K, but mastered in 4K, thus the conflicting reports of Criterion using a 4K scan.
