Apparently, fox feels the color tones in the robert wise approved transfer (used for the laserdisc box set and all releases until the blu-ray) weren't to their liking. Robert wise spent weeks overseeing every aspect of that box set transfer. I would like to know what sources fox used to come up with these color hues they felt were correct for the blu-ray. The last known person who had anything to do with the film to oversee or even comment on this film's transfer (robert wise) really had it right. Why was it changed so drastically? I am not happy about this. It should have been corrected. They did such a gorgeous job on the detail and clarity of the transfer, to get the colors wrong was a mistake and should have been corrected.

The good people at fox home video who work on these transfers have done such a beautiful job on so many films. I don't understand the reasoning behind this and the king and i, which i now call "the blue king and i." the king and i was running on hdnet a few years ago and it was a gorgeous transfer without the blue taking over everything. Why were these 2 films changed so drastically?

If you so reasoning, then I don't see any reason; why you have added The Exorcist: 40th Anniversary on the list?

It's the same disc back in 2010. Same VC-1 codec etc. Only The Exorcist: 40th Anniversary did come with new extras.

But to my point of view I say: add. This is a new product on the market. Yes the disc is the same, but who cares? The upcoming 50th Anniversary comes with new extras, just like The Exorcist 40th Ann.

Same situation.

I agree. Same disc but different product. Please include it in case some people aren't aware of the minutiae.

Yep May 2014. If you judge the screenshots all have a 4K look. Only 'On Approval' I don't know.

I can't imagine they have created another master. Costs too much.

This proofs something but.....as we know there is no guarantee that the 4K transfer is on the blu-ray.
Tomorrow never dies is for example on that list but the blu is not a 4K transfer.
I'm not rushing to add these titles on.

@Pieter V, thank you very much for this list. Sadly some of this films have definitive no 4K transfer on Blu-ray(Batman Begins, Goldeneye,etc.).

I hope they make new Blu-ray editions with this transfers.
With the start of Spectre they could make new Blu-rays of the James Bond movies.

And Batman Begins celebtrate its 10th Anniversary this year.

I know. In the past weeks I have been sending lots of e-mails. But no single reply back. To re-re-re-re-re-reconfirm.
