Also the UK version of "Medium Cool" is 4K, just like US which is already on the list.

Please, inform me where it states that "Iron Man" was mastered in 4K.

They used 4K scans during the DI mastering for a 2K finish (which is a heck of a lot more common that people realise), apparently that qualifies it for this illustrious list.

In the book Cinematography for Directors By Jacqueline B Frost on page 222
Matthew Libatique (DP, Iron Man) says "Iron Man will be the first movie I've done that is scanned in 4K. Every movie I've ever done up to that had been scanned in 2K" so that's how it qualifies it for this "illustrious list"

Matthew Libatique did both Iron Man 1 & 2. So I have no reason to doubt.

Scanning in 4K isn't the same as a 4K finish, but as there's no such differentiation for this thread it's all good.

There has never been the goal with this thread to keep a track record of films finished in 4K

But some people may still get that impression, no? Still, it's your thread, I'm just being a persnickety so-and-so.

I don't know if I should start a new thread about this, but I found here a list of DCPS of various films, some of them saying 4K.
http://hollywoodclassics.com/pdf/Pri...DCP%20list.pdf

Now, we already knew about Die hard, but there are some other movies like Home Alone, Edward Schissorhands, Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile etc. that the existing Blurays weren't based on 4K scans, right?

So, it's possible that we could see Blurays of these?
I hope so!

It's funny that those titles are all FOX titles. I think FOX has upgraded them, not for Blu-ray but for Video Streaming Services and for in the future. There is a VOD that offers Home Alone in 4K.

we need a separate thread for films that were done end to end in 4K or better.
