Pieter, am I wrong or does the spreadsheet actually indicate that all titles on the list got a 4K scan and only denotes whether the final master was 2K or 4K? The title is "4k Scans for DI and Library titles finished at 2k or 4k", so there's plenty more there that need to be added to this list.

But do you agree that the spreadsheet denotes ALL movies on the list got a 4K scan, which would still qualify them for inclusion in this list? Because I don't see things like 30 Days of Night, 88 Minutes or Adaptation in the '4K transfers shot on film' Blu-ray list, and that's from just the first 9 entries in the spreadsheet.

Again, you don't seem to be understanding me. I know you've put down which titles have a 4K master, what I'm saying is that each title on that spreadsheet appears to have had a 4K transfer even if the final master was 2K, which is enough to be included in this thread's list according to the OP's criteria. Capito?

Do a search for 'wikileaks Sony 4K DI scans' and it should pop up. I'm currently up to P on the Sony list, double checking it against your list and the br.com database to see if it's had a Blu-ray release. I'm taking a break at the moment though.

Right, best as I can figure it, these are the movies from the Sony 4K scan list with 2K finishes which are/will be available on Blu-ray (although not necessarily in the US) that I can't see in this thread's list. There may be a few digital stragglers, you'll have to double check them.

You're welcome. It took me a good few hours to sort out, so I don't envy you having to go through it.
![]() To the dissenters: you might remember that I myself questioned the appearance of 2K mastered movies in this thread but it's not about 4K+ masters, it's about 4K+ transfers. And if those raw scans and EDL's/CDL's were archived, then it wouldn't be too much of a problem to run off new 4K masters of all of the movies contained on that list, should Sony wish to do so in the future. |
