And you won't coz it's trash. Doesn't even sell as much as their own RPX or Screen X, let alone Dolby or IMAX. And yes, I have data from the 2nd largest market in the country to back me up.

Hideo Kojima got to see it today. Said it’s so awesome he’s now feeling creatively inspired.

David Ehrlich of Indiewire famously hates blockbusters and he had massive praise for this.

2 years. Gee I don’t know, Tom Cruise looks a little older, I would probably say present day. 36 years.

If McGillis had aged well then I suspect she'd have been asked to make some sort of appearance. Neither Cruise (nor Hollywood in general) wants a love interest to look like the lead actor's mum.

Goddamn. That's not an exaggeration either. It's spot on. Shame.

“Top Gun: Maverick” is set 30 years after the original and finds Maverick forced to train a new generation of hot shot pilots. The new recruits are played by the likes of Miles Teller, Glenn Powell, Monica Barbaro and Jay Ellis. Teller stars as Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, a pilot trainee who is the son of Maverick’s late best friend Nick “Goose” Bradshaw. Kosinski said not even Meg Ryan, who played Goose’s wife in the original film, was considered to return despite the Bradshaw family being a key plot point in “Top Gun: Maverick.”

the reviews aren't just positive, there's multiple 5/5 star reviews and people saying this is the best action movie since Fury Road. This is like next level acclaim, so far at least.

Yeah I was scrolling through Metacritic, and there are a bunch of 100 and 90 scores.

The four "bad" ones are all 60 or 6 out of 10. This thing must be really fu**ing good. It's gonna do killer box office.

I cannot believe she looks like she's 65 years old. Crazy.

Lol, indeed. The fact people expect others to look like Tom in their 60s is dumb/ridiculous.

And not directed at Jay H but in general:

Cruise is 5 years younger, and let’s be honest, basically a freak of nature. Looking/being that fit at that age must be rough, but it keeps him famous and “relevant”, so he keeps doing it. Of course he must enjoy what it allows him to do at some level too (i.e. an adrenaline junkie), but it’s not exactly in one’s best interest if you value your well being long-term. As someone who got into fitness a while ago, trust me, staying that fit for that long is not fun. You’re injured most of the time and tired/exhausted too. It’s good to stay fit but up to a point. Then it just becomes miserable and the injuries begin to pile up. All that to say it’s pretty unrealistic and unfair to expect people to look like Tom does at his age (or older). It’s impressive but ridiculous.

Also, for the people judging someone on their looks, I’m sure most of them look like Abercrombie and Victoria’s Secret models lol (not that looking like either type of model is healthy anyway).
