Rare sight in European homes too considering the price tag.

Well, I guess it's time to sell that old outdated Sony A90J since it's no longer King.

Shame about the forced 60fps and non-correctable color inaccuracies. This looked like a solid living room projector, especially with the 95%+ Rec. 2020 color gamut and better color volume to counter the usual ambient light in living rooms.

Hallelujah! Here's the 1st HDMI 2.1 AV Receiver that Does 4K 120Hz with PS5 & Xbox Series X Bug-Free - YouTube

Integra, Pioneer and Yamaha also have new receivers coming that claim to have fixed last years HDMI bug, but they aren't out in the wild yet for testing as far as I know.
How much is it in Canada?

Well unless prices come down before shipping, there's definitely a Canadian "premium" on this one from the looks of it as the prices on the pre-orders certainly don't come close to matching the US prices adjusted for exchange rate. On another forum they're confirmed as being offered for $1080 US from at least one authorized retailer.

Electronicsforless.ca has it for $1999 cdn, but with an instant $200 rebate when added to your cart.

There's two other Canadian retailers with it for $1999 but with no rebate. I was able to get Gibby's to match the $200 rebate price from Electronicsforless though.

Overall though, it at least still wipes the floor with Yamaha's pricing structure.

Looking forward to the JZ2000 review. Not that I have any chance of getting one but a man can dream. Plus Sony has been working hard to close the gap so that could be an interesting comparison!

While waiting for a more complete comparison ...

Compared to the #LG #G1 and #Sony #A90J. Panasonic has the lead from 1% to 50% window. At 100% window the Sony and LG are brighter.

Yeah that's interesting it seems like they want no part of a 100% window.
I'm wondering if they're being judicious with the heatsink; forgoing an increase on 100% in order to maintain cooling headroom so they can conssitently go higher with 1-25% highlights which is surely a more common occurence in typical content.

Good call. Even 100 nits of SDR full-field brightness can make me squint when it comes along unexpectedly (watching in a darkened room as I do), but it’s those smaller speculars that are the real difference-maker with HDR.
