The Vincent (Youtube Influencer Par Excellent) effect. Here is a comment posted in response to his video.
"I’m returning both CXs this month. Gonna wait for a a90j or g1 depending on the price" Can you say "Planned Obsolescence" three times. |

If he switches to a Sony OLED TV there's nothing wrong with that.
...For Movies and HDR Movies, and X-Motion Master Clarity. ![]() • https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-type/oled • https://www.techradar.com/news/best-...-can-buy-today • https://www.t3.com/us/features/best-oled-tv Last edited by LordoftheRings; 02-14-2021 at 08:53 PM. |

Whichever OLED TV shows LOTR 4K trilogy under its best light is a serious contender for best.

Vincent Videos are great and informative and he knows what he is talking about. But the recent HDR comparasion is for me Marketing
Is HDR better with more Brightness ? Of course. But do u need more Brightness with Tonemapping? Probably no |

And Vincent has long been a nits man, he's been careful not to buck the trend of declaring OLED to be God's gift to humankind but he's literally called himself a "nits wh0re" in older videos and now that we're finally getting OLEDs that can do 1000-nit highlights and beyond (tho ABL will still be a thing on full field brightness) he's happy to out himself. Didn't the gamut analysis show that they barely impinge on P3 colour anyway? It's the extra dynamic range and the new colour grading in itself that makes the difference. |

I think deep in our heart, most of us are nit wh0res lol. I still miss the eyeballs melting brightness my DX902 offered but at the moment we can't have the cake and eat it. I am keeping a tab on this 1,312 nits OLED hype. If it turns to be true, I will have to look at replacing my 2019 OLED that I bought last year. ![]() If I lived in a bigger house, I will happily buy a used DX902 or ZD9 or 930e for cheap to melt my eyeballs.
