Correct. Although I include a few late 1970s films in the revival period.

Dial M for Murder
Dragonfly Squadron
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Gog
The Mad Magician
Cease Fire
Gun Fury
House of Wax
Inferno
It Came from Outer Space
Kiss Me Kate
Man in the Dark
Miss Sadie Thompson
Those Redheads from Seattle
You've been reading my shelves again.

Again, four years ago, I expected more revival films to come out on bluray and less classic, but I'm glad it's been the other way around.

The four revival titles on bluray need to be completely redone by a 3-D technician.

My most wanted film from the revival is Silent Madness, which I've never seen. Bob F. assures me the 3-D is excellent.

We mustn't forget the released "inbetweeners":

September Storm
The Mask
The Bubble
The Stewardesses
A*P*E

Hope they're on your shelves, too, as they are on mine!

What's sad is there should have been another 80's 3D release but sadly we only got Spacehunter in 2D which essentially kills any 3D chance

I passed on The Stewardesses. A*P*E is still in the wrap.

Don't forget the documentary Mars In 3D (1978), which seems to be an orphan in the 3-D community.

It would be nice if the four titles were redone but that's not going to happen.

I have seen Silent Madness from VHD. Been so long I forget how good the 3D is. I can't go back and look at it as I lent all my VHD titles to someone that was going to convert them to side-by-side but never did and does not respond to my emails.

If anyone lives in the Raleigh/Durham area, the Carolina Theatre is hosting a Retro Film series with a few cool 3D showings...Metalstorm, Spacehunter, Jaws 3D, and a few others. I may have to hit up a few of these.

My mother lives in Winston-Salem and she did take me to
see Starchaser when I was a kid. Maybe it's time I return
the favor and re-live some old memories. Hmmm...

Sounds like a damn good idea. Never did see that one. That was one of the movies I was interested in.

The first post in this thread has many wrong dates, presumably sourced from the massively inaccurate 3-D Movies book by R.M. Hayes.

The correct data can be found on this page of our website: http://www.3dfilmarchive.com/silver-age-1966---1986

You are correct that my initial post in 2014 was sourced largely from the R.M. Hayes book, which was all there was to go on at the time, with a little cross-referencing to the imdb, as well as all the 3-D films I'd seen many times. The post was intended to establish parameters, pique interest, stimulate discussion, and start a ball rolling, not be the definitive word. This is why my post invited people to offer additions and corrections. Many people have told me they found it useful, but I always recommend going to 3-D Film Archive for the most accurate and comprehensive research. You guys are peerless, so far as I'm concerned.

Parasite 3D, Star Chaser 3D, Friday the 13th 3 3D, hopefully those films and more from this era surface within the next 10 years or sooner for home stereo 3D in whatever media form it may take. Hopefully blu ray 3D.
