Also AV hardware. Many years ago I built tuners and stereo multiplex decoders from kits, and a Heathkit projection TV.

I did start off my career as a Broadcast Engineer for NBC. Later in my career I was involved in Artificial Intelligence and the Computer Security.

What a great day that was Penton-Man.
I still recall that messy war and how good it felt once WB pretty much ended it.

Yep. You can see an ad-free clip I uploaded here:

A significant reason as to why WB ended it like they did, when they did, was because retailers were becoming extremely impatient with having to support 2 formats. Not because anyone paid them off, which was a rumor I read on a forum a few years back.

By the same Director ^, on the other side of the world, a classic battle, for those old enough to remember it, the ‘Thrilla in Manila is stalled’.....again.

On another note, for the eye candy aficionados liking less violent imagery, a DV grade is planned for Awaken - http://awaken.film/

Cool, thank you.

Right now we are planning to include the following frame rates for lip sync:
23.976
24
25
50
59.94
60

We will have the manual versions we have today and one designed for the Sync-One2, which is a cool little device.

Nanosys was kind enough to provide some vile(s) of Quantum Dot for us to shoot. Here is the video I think we are going to include in the montage.

We are going to measure the actual wavelengths tomorrow, but here is what Nanosys said: Wavelengths are (approximately): 434, 475, 522 & 633. Our goal is to make them as accurate as possible on screen to their actual color. Clark had shot them several times, but the video above is the money shot.

And nobody has posted standard DV has had the issues you claim. Oppo has already taken responsibility for the issues on the discs.

You just posted ^ this, in reply to my post that this thread was about 4K disks. How many times does something have to be explained to you?

What are you babbling about? That's a pretty widespread issue that's been talked about at length both here and on AVS Forum.

The claim that Oppo has stated its their issue is unfounded. PeterTHX is grasping at straws based on a single unreliable poster here who claimed he received an email from Oppo stating so. Yet, no where else is this being discussed. In fact, on the Oppo threads on AVS, several posters have said that Oppo claims it isn't an issue with their player.

Dude, you're the unreliable poster here.
Acting like Ray Dolby kicked sand in your face at the beach or something.
I'm on AVS regularly and yet you're unable to link to an actual post indicating its a problem with multiple users (on the streaming issue).
Or that Oppo claims it's NOT a player problem.

What is the actual issue? Too many posts to try and figure out what you are talking about? Can you summarize? I can speak to OPPO about it as well.

Cool. Then you'll be able to link us to the heated discussion over at AVS about Oppo stating that it's an issue with their player and that they're working on it, along with an official statement from Oppo. You're the one making the claim, so the burden of proof is on you.

Complaints the black bars are discolored (grey) in DV UHD-BD titles like Power Rangers.

"Someone" else is claiming it also happens on pure DV streaming titles as well.
