Due to that very successful spell in the olden days, just three trophies would see us jump into the top 10 most successful English clubs of all time. We currently rank 13th despite many decades of no trophies. Quite astonishing really. How we have fallen. ![]() Hopefully, the much discussed takeover occurs very soon (Michael Dell’s associates if you believe the rumours) that’s Michael Dell of Dell computers. On the TV drama, I ended up going back to Best Buy to get a refund on my tv. The reason being is that the tv qualified for a my member discount. It was going to make the tv much less. It was a Samsung 75" LED 4K tv. I left Best Buy having returned the tv (so to speak as it's not been delivered or installed yet) for a 82" LG 4K TV that cost over $500 more than the Samsung. And I bought two 4K movies and 1 blu-ray movie. I ended up spending $375 more money today. There goes my savings. God help me if I can get through this year.

IMO they are moving in the right direction with LCD: miniLED backlites and dual panel. The issue is cost. They have to be below OLED and not just a little. |

![]() EDIT: What is the name of the film he briefly mentions at 1:24:25? Is he saying "Cuarón did Roma"? Last edited by mrtickleuk; 09-02-2020 at 03:26 PM. |

Pablo is likely referring to Butterfly Kisses (BF) - https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2634623/ It’s nice to occasionally hear some B&W HDR analysis given the more common investigation of stretching the WCG with movies - As an aside, you might recall that attention to *non-colored* imaging also holds merit in HDR R&D, e.g. - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t#post13205705 Yes, after the short discussion on BF, he said "Cuarón did a RRRRoma". Sometimes I actually have to run the subtitles on content involving folks who don’t speak English like me. For example, I often had difficulty understanding every word when Tim Roth spoke in Seasons 1&2 of Tin Star, but I’m improving ![]() ![]() |

Anyone know why the studios are not very consistent with using Dolby Vision? I like it a lot but it seems like Goonies and Beetlejuice are two recent titles that Warner decided not to use it. Also Universal seems to have released some titles recently with only HDR10
