Not anymore this is a thread about you whining that Pioneer isn't announcing anything and touting yourself false hopes. It stopped being a thread about Pioneer players 3 months ago.

You won't hear anything from Pioneer. Why would they share private information with an average person? They owe you nothing, please just give it up man.

One of them didn’t sell very well and the other closed their entire A/V division. Neither of these have happened with Pioneer (they don’t expect to make that many players in a given unit of time unlike that former company.) Neither company “P” nor “S” make a machine that does everything I want.

Have any of you heard from a reliable source that Pioneer has exited the player market? I certainly haven’t, so don’t just think you know everything.
LOL O man you are the gift that keeps on giving. If Pioneer was going to respond they would have by now. They will not so please stop.

Well, if the UHD PC drive thread is any indicator, it'll take at least another two days before it finally gets through this guy's head that, once again, he's doubling down on what he wants while ignoring reality. At least the possibilty of Pioneer releasing a new UHD deck is marginally higher than Macgo obtaining a UHD license from the BDA, but that's a bit like having emptied a few buckets of water from the Titanic.

I wrote to them on Saturday. Here is what I wrote:

Subject: I want a Pioneer Universal Disc Player (パイオニアユニバーサルディスクプレーヤーが欲しい)

Quote:
So that you will get my message, I am writing this in both English and Japanese (translated from English.)

あなたが私のメッセージを受け取ることができるように、私はこれを (英語と日本語の両方で書いています)。

Dear Pioneer,

I am from the United States of America and have been longing since May to purchase one of your Universal Disc Players to use with my new OLED display. When will you start producing players again for my country? At this year's CES, I see you only announced new receiver models. I was hoping you would also announce a new player. I would like you also to add HDR10+™ support to your players like you promised back in 2018 as my OLED can play both HDR10+™ and Dolby Vision™.

I am not ignoring reality. I really think they may start making players again, considering how much experience they’ve had with players and how many audio and video enthusiasts use and love their machines. Many other people may have written to them as well. It’s the crisis everyone is talking about as of the writing of this post that has caused Pioneer to enter into a “pause” state. The company is still in the process of recovering from this “pause” state, so don’t lose your optimism just yet.

You can wait for the imaginary LX 500 Redux with HDR10+ support until the end of days, but I will be enjoying what is actually available right now. I'm not growing any younger and neither are you. If you're not careful your life will pass you by waiting for what may well never come.

Every day that you refuse to buy an existing 4K disc player is a day where I am enjoying mine.

Get yourself one of those Sony or LG Players for about $150 before they leave the market.

Most E-mails are on average a 3 day response time from Pioneer. Let us know with the update. Thanks.
