Check this link. I wouldn't call that "mild" DNR

Feels like removal of stuff like in Gladiator before the replacement discs. Debris and birds got washed. I find it curious how Spielberg can let this slide.
Done.

US: MPEG-4 AVC. Lots of DNR

It's already in the list.

Come on people work those specifications so we get a more awesome thread

Just got the JP boxset with Biohazard/Resident Evil 1-4 but don't have a blu-ray drive for the computer yet so you will have to wait for those specs that's still missing

That's fine. AFAIK Resident Evil Apocalypse is AVC instead of MPEG-2 and contains the extended cut of the film. The other two films are identical to the US releases I believe.

Yes I know Apocalypse is superior, that was one of the reasons I bought it. Hopefully 1 or 3 is somehow better also 4 is so new that is probably same disc all over the world.

Yeah, everything I have read indicates that 1, 3, and 4 are identical worldwide in terms of PQ.

Maybe we should add Out of Africa on that list as well. the US is getting a new, much improved restoration. does anyone know if this transfer will be used in other countries as well??

So what's the final word on From Dusk Till Dawn?
I have the old version from Canada.
But I'm reading about the new steelbook using a new transfer and what about the UK version?

My list represents international titles that are superior to their US counterparts. It's not the other way around.

It seems that the CA steelbook is the best available.

With the new Austrian double-disc edition due out in April, and no definitive info on the transfer, I'd say the jury is still out on this one. Extras-wise, no contest obviously.

Well, I wouldn't add the "best pq" statement because the pq are really different between those editions (especially between CA and UK) so I would leave that to everyone's taste.
I personnally have both and can't decide which one I prefer.

I agree. I'll leave the best PQ out and just update the entry.
