That's a big difference then. LG display is the only one that makes OLED panels for Sony, Panasonic, LG, Vizio, Phillips, etc.

So he is not a shill for LGE, or any of the other tv manufacturers. It would be like him going to an airbag manufacturer that supplies airbags to all the auto makers and then calling him a shill for GM.

It's not that Vincent isn't knowledgeable, that's not the issue, the issue is his credibility. He is an influencer that gets paid to not be too critical of certain displays, he should just tell it like it is.

I didn’t say it makes him a shill I said it looks bad when he gets a free trip on them then gives them great reviews. I said I’m not sure he said headquarters it most likely was the display side he doesn’t do reviews on washing machines does he?

He's not getting paid at all. He has given critical reviews of LG OLEDs, and has been critical about the FW, tone mapping etc. It's not too hard to find his complaints about LG OLEDs on his youtube channel, if you take a few minutes to actually look for them. Making claims that he getting paid like you are without any proof is nothing more than you trying to slander him. If LGD was really paying him off, they would not want him to give bad reviews on any OLED tv, no matter the brand, because that would hurt their bottom line.

Vincent has also said he is not going to evaluate a tv based on it's near black banding as that is a panel lottery issue. It doesn't matter what brand of tv, as all the panels come from LGD and it's the luck of the draw if you get a perfect panel.

As far as the Vizio OLED, maybe go over to AVS and read how D-Nice ripped it and flat out said he could not recommend buying that tv at any price. So it was just not Vincent giving it a less than flattering review. And D-Nice wasn't the only professional calibrator on AVS that gave it horrible reviews. But apparently, you choose not to read those and then attack Vincent for his less than flattering review.

So how many get free tickets to CES every year? Are they shills too? LGD doesn't care about his review of LG OLED tvs. They sell panels to anyone who wants them. So if he gives great reviews to Sony, Panasonic, etc, instead of LG, people buy those tv's instead, who in turn buy their panels from LGD. LGD doesn't care who the money comes from, as long as it keeps coming.

If a person has expertises and a wide audience of which
you can advertise your product to, then they are going to court you. I'm explaining this from a Western mindset, and Vincent is of course from Chinese cultural extraction. And I'm not fully versed in the face culture of the Far East. So could be totally different

But yeah, Vincent takes one trip to something we can't exactly be sure on LG, and he's suddenly the most venal person in TV tec. Nah, not buying it.

I'm sure Roberts had more junkets than we've had hot dinners, but no one's calling him a shill.

You seem to be missing what I am saying I am saying people like quantum saw he got a paid trip to lg and to him it makes him look like a shill. Once I again I am not saying he is I am saying to others on YouTube it makes him look like he is.
