When you watch the HDR10 transfer of The Meg and have to wear sunglasses because the skies are so blown out blindingly white

As one example

Just ultra bright HDR content, not simply for peak brightness but average brightness across the whole frame. Sony in particular love blasting their catalogue transfers with thousands and thousands of nits so they can be awkward to tone map properly. DeeVee on my TeeVee helps with this.

No new QD OLED from Sony this year!
The new Mini LEDs look interesting.

I'd love to know how much leccy that TCL screen uses. Then again, people buying a 100k tv wouldn't be fussed about leccy bills.

Wow, the ticket price has been raised...$110,000 US.
For 99.99999% of the world population it's in the unobtainable dimension class.

I will donate $1m to charity if more than 10 films get APL exceeding 300 nits.

Yeah the HX3110 is absolutely fantastic. Saw it at NAB in Vegas a few weeks back. Big improvement over the HX310 in terms of viewing angles and peak brightness. Seeing 4000 nits for real both on test patterns and actual content made me rethink HDR all together.

I know Vincent was there as well but I never saw him. Maybe next year...
